Mysuru, Sept. 05, 2021 (www.justkannada.in): “A total number of 29,852 students will receive degree and post graduate degrees at the 101st Convocation of the University of Mysore, that will be held on September 8,” informed Prof. G. Hemanth Kumar, Vice-Chancellor, University of Mysore.
Addressing a press meet at Manasagangotri he informed that Hon’ble Governor of Karnataka Thawar Chand Gehlot, CSIR Director General Dr. Shekar C. Mande, Higher Education Minister Dr. C.N. Ashwathnarayana will participate in the Convocation that will begin at 11.00 am. Dr. Govindarajan Padmanabhan, Bio-Chemistry Professor, IISc, Bengaluru, and Prashanth Prakash, Founder, Axel India will be accorded doctorates.
216 students have shared a total number of 387 medals (Gold medals) and 17 prizes (cash prizes), and out of them 172 are women and 44 men.
Chaitra Narayan Hegde has secured 20 gold medals in M.Sc. Chemistry and 4 cash prizes. Thus she has become the highest number of medal winner. The others who have won medals include Madalambika T.S. (10 gold medals) and 4 cash prizes.
