Mysuru, December 6, 2022 (www.justkannada.in): Following the increasing incidents of leopard menace and death of two persons in T. Narasipura taluk in Mysuru District, Mysuru Deputy Commissioner K.V. Rajendra has issued new orders.
The Deputy Commissioner K.V. Rajendra has issued orders to undertake harvesting in 40 villages of 20 panchayat limits in T.Narasipura taluk. The Forest Department has discovered a new technology to identify leopard habitats using drone cameras. Through this leopards were found in sugarcane fields. It is the opinion of the Forest Department that the sugarcane fields have become leopards habitat as the crop has not been harvest, and hence had requested the district administration to issue orders to the farmers of the taluk to harvest sugarcane crop.
