London, Dec. 21, 2020 (www.justkannada.in): The new variant has made Covid go out of control in the UK, forcing Prime Minister Boris Johnson to impose a lockdown for an indefinite period in London and Southeast England regions.
Speaking to the BBC, Britain’s Health Secretary Matt Hancock agreed that they have lost control due to the new wave of COVID pandemic and were forced to impose an indefinite lockdown. The sudden development has sparked fury among the citizens who were in the Christmas celebration preparation mood.
Netherlands, Italy, and Belgium have canceled all the flights to and from the UK to prevent the new covid variant from entering their countries. Several other European countries are also contemplating to follow this, according to the reports.
The lockdown imposed this time may continue till the vaccine reaches all in the country, said Matt Hancock, Britain’s Health Secretary. He has also requested the people to celebrate Christmas at home this year to prevent the spread of the pandemic.
