Bengaluru, Feb. 08, 2021 (www.justkannada.in): Chief Minister B.S. Yedyurappa today dedicated the Modular ICU unit established at the K.C. General Hospital in Bengaluru, to the nation. This ICU equipped with sophisticated equipment is capable of handling any kind of medical emergency like COVID-19.
The new ICU has 100 beds and will be open for the public from today. It has been established with public donations.
Speaking on the occasion, Chief Minister B.S. Yedyurappa appreciated the completion of establishing the modular ICU at a record time. He said it will be helpful for the people of this part of the city.
On the occasion, he also informed that a 50-bed Cath Lab by Jayadeva Institute of Cardiology, and 50-bed Trauma Care and 150-bed capacity mother-infant care centres will also be established in the K.C. General Hospital premises.
Speaking on the occasion, Deputy Chief Minister Dr. Ashwathnarayana informed that the modular ICUs like the one established now at K.C. General Hospital will be very helpful in treating COVID patients. He explained that the 100-bed facility is established with the help of donations received from philanthropists.
The donors were felicitated on the occasion.
