Mysuru, Feb. 26, 2021 (www.justkannada.in): “The National Education Policy of the Govt. of India will be useful in achieving an upper hand in global education and bring a revolution in a new India,” opined Prof. G. Hemanth Kumar, Vice-Chancellor, University of Mysore.
A program was organized at the M.Pro Palace by the Association of Food Scientist and Technologists (India) titled, “Monument Lectures and Award Giving Program,” where he delivered a lecture on the topic, “National Education Policy-2020 Higher Education and Research and Development,”.
In his address, he viewed that it is inevitable to modify the educational policy as per the present need. The NEP-2020 will be a very good contribution in modifying our country. It will increase efficiency sustainability, knowledge-based society and help in the progress of the quality of higher education.
“NEP proposes the modification of the present educational system (10+2) to 5+3+3+4 years pre-university form. Multidisciplinary institutions that have good resource has been given the responsibility of architecting a new vision for the higher education,” he observed.
Dr. A. Jayadeep, AFST Vice-President, Smt.Sridevi Annapoorna Singh, Director, CSIR-CFTRI, Dr. Anil Dutt Semwal, Director, DRDO-DFRL, Dr. B.R. Lokesh, President, Award Instituting committee, and others were present.
