Bengaluru, July 1, 2021 (www.justkannada.in): Deputy Chief Minister Dr. C.N. Ashwathnarayan who is also a doctor by profession took on his root job on the occasion of ‘Doctors Day’ today. The incident took place at the K.C. General Hospital in Bengaluru.
The DCM who arrived at the K.C. General Hospital early in the morning offered flower bouquets and sweets to the doctors and greeted them on the occasion of ‘Doctors Day’. He mingled with them without any hesitation and keeping aside all the protocols. He listened to all their grievances and received the required facilities for the staff and the doctors.
Speaking on the occasion Dr. Ashwathnarayan said, “I feel proud to say that I am a doctor. I feel so happy to be with these doctors today. I know that all the doctors and health workers are presently working under great pressure. They are working day and night and saving lives by risking their own lives.”
On the occasion, he informed that the State Government has made plans to upgrade the health infrastructure in the state by spending Rs.1,500 crore. “Including infrastructure that is presently present in all the Primary Health Care Centres and Taluk-District level hospitals will be upgraded. The amount will be spent on providing technology, development of infrastructure, and appointment of doctors and staff. Arrangements will be made to ensure that there will be at least 25 ICU beds in every Taluk hospital,” he said.
K.C. General Hospital Superintendent Dr. Venkateshaiah, Dr. Mohan, and other doctors and staff were present.
