ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು, ಜುಲೈ 2, 2021 (www.justkannada.in): ಬೆಂಗಳೂರಿನ ಕೆಂಪೇಗೌಡ ಅಂತಾರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ವಿಮಾನ ನಿಲ್ದಾಣದಲ್ಲಿ ರೆವೆನ್ಯೂ ಇಂಟೆಲಿಜೆನ್ಸ್ ನಿರ್ದೇಶನಾಲಯ (ಡಿಆರ್‌ಐ) ಸಿಬ್ಬಂದಿಗಳು 35 ವರ್ಷ ವಯಸ್ಸಿನ ಓರ್ವ ಮಹಿಳಾ ಪ್ರಯಾಣಿಕರಿಂದ 8 ಕೆಜಿಗೂ ಅಧಿಕ ತೂಕದ ಹೆರಾಯಿನ್ ಅನ್ನು ವಶಪಡಿಸಿಕೊಂಡಿರುವುದು ವರದಿಯಾಗಿದೆ.
ಮಹಿಳೆ ಹೆರಾಯಿನ್ ಅನ್ನು ಬಹಳ ಬುದ್ಧಿವಂತಿಕೆಯಿಂದ ಸೂಟ್‌ ಕೇಸ್‌ ನ ಕೆಳಭಾಗದಲ್ಲಿ ಯಾರಿಗೂ ಕಾಣಿಸದೇ ಇರುವ ರೀತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಅಡಗಿಸಿಟ್ಟುಕೊಂಡು ಬಂದಿದ್ದರು ಎನ್ನಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಮಧ್ಯಪೂರ್ವ ದೇಶಗಳ ವಿಮಾನ ನಿಲ್ದಾಣ ಕೇಂದ್ರಗಳಿಂದ ಬಂದಂತಹ ವಿಮಾನದಲ್ಲಿ ಆ ಮಹಿಳೆ ಬೆಂಗಳೂರಿಗೆ ಜೂನ್ 30ರಂದು ಮುಂಜಾನೆ ಬಂದರು ಎನ್ನಲಾಗಿದೆ.
ಈ ಹೆರಾಯಿನ್ ಮೊತ್ತ ರೂ.5.6 ಕೋಟಿ ಎನ್ನಲಾಗಿದ್ದು ಅದನ್ನು ವಶಪಡಿಸಿಕೊಂಡಿರುವ ಪೊಲೀಸರು ಮಾದವಸ್ತು ಕಳ್ಳ ಸಾಗಾಣಿಕೆಗಾಗಿ ಎನ್‌ಡಿಪಿಎಸ್ ಕಾಯ್ದೆಯಡಿ ದೂರು ದಾಖಲಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು ಆಕೆಯನ್ನು ಬಂಧಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

The Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) on 30th June 2021 stopped one 35-year-old female passenger with over 8 Kg of Heroin at the Kempegowda International Airport, Bengaluru. The passenger had a false bottom suitcase in which the Heroin was cleverly concealed. The passenger had landed in Bengaluru on an early morning flight which connected from one of the middle eastern transit hubs. The heroin worth ₹ 56 Crores has been seized by the DRI and the passenger arrested under the NDPS Act for trafficking drugs.
