Bengaluru, September 14, 2021 (www.justkannada.in): Revenue Minister R. AShok has informed that the State Government will announce its decision soon concerning the eviction of illegal temples in the State.
Speaking about this today he informed that instructions will be given to evict the temples without hurting the religious sentiments of the people. “It is incorrect to evict the temples all of a sudden. I have discussed about this with the Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai. However, we should follow the Hon’ble Supreme Court orders, without hurting the sentiments of the people. Instructions will be given to the Deputy Commissioner regarding this soon,” he added.
He informed that he would speak to the Revenue Department officials and the Deputy Commissioner personally and give instructions to stop the eviction process till further government orders.
“People have expressed their severe opposition and anger against the eviction of temples at certain places. Thorough verification is being done regarding the Hon’ble Supreme Court orders. However, there is no need for eviction till further government orders. Instructions will be given to the district administration soon,” he explained.
