Good news for Sandalwood in 2-3 days: Health Minister Dr. K. Sudhakar

Bengaluru, September 21, 2021 (www.justkannada.in): Karnakata film producers’ have appealed to the State Government to allow screening of movies in cinema halls with 100% seating capacity as the film industry has been unable to recover from the losses due to the COVID-19 Pandemic lockdown. The film industry has continued to suffer even as the number of COVID cases has declined.
Presently, the State Government has allowed the screening of movies in the cinema halls with 50% seating capacity. The Sandalwood film producers’ today visited Health Minister K. Sudhakar and appealed to allow screening of movies with 100% seating capacity.
In his response, the Health Minister informed that the State Government is well aware of the condition of the film industry and the problems it is facing. He informed that discussions are being held in this regard and good news will be given to them within 2 or 3 days.
“We will conduct the technical advisory committee meeting within 2-3 days and arrive at a decision after discussing with the Chief Minister. A decision will be taken regarding screening of movies in cinema halls with 100% seating capacity,” he added.
