Mysuru, December 1, 2021 (www.justkannada.in): “Kannada Rajyotsava is not just a day’s celebration. Every one of us should love Kannada throughout our lives and serve it,” opined Prof. G. Hemanth Kumar, Vice-Chancellor, University of Mysore.
He was speaking after inaugurating the Kannada Rajyotsava program organized by the Kuvempu Adyayana Samsthe, held at the BMShri Auditorium, Manasagangotri today. “Kannada language shouldn’t be limited only within the four walls of a house, encourage your children to practice speaking in Kannada so that it will grow at the national level and make efforts for its development. We should know other languages. But Kannada should be our first preference. It will come into use in the State and across the nation only when we practice to communicate in our language more,” he said.
He wished the Kuvempu Kannada Adhyayana Samsthe organises the Kannada Rajyotsava program on November 1 every year in the future and make efforts to release at least one book on the occasion. I wish programs will also be held to felicitate students who have made commendable achievements in the field of literature, he added.
