Belagavi, December 22, 2021 (www.justkannada.in): Former Chief Minister B.S. Yediyurappa today said that the anti-conversion bill is being implemented to safeguard the interest of the country and appealed to the opposition parties to cooperate.
“The anti-conversion bill exists in several states. But Siddaramaiah is not keen on it. Hence he is trying to unnecessarily create confusion among the people about this bill,” he said.
“The opposition party people should also be present while tabling the bill. Hence, I am requesting them to cooperate. We oppose forced religious conversions. Anyway, this bill will no way create any problem to the Christian missionaries,” he added.
