Bengaluru, March 14, 2022 (www.justkannada.in): Minister for IT, BT and Science and Technology Dr. C.N. Ashwathnarayana today inaugurated the Artificial Intelligence and Robotics Technological Park, established in the Indian Institute of Science campus. This park is said to create bright job opportunities, especially for the rural youth.
By 2030, the artificial intelligence based economy will be 15.7 trillion dollars, which is 6 times more than our country’s GDP, he added. This park is established with support from the I-Foundry.
The research works of the AI park will fulfil the available skills to the students and professionals in the areas of healthcare, education, communication, infrastructure, agriculture, retail industry and cyber security. The Govt. of India has provided a sum of Rs. 170 crore as seed capital to this project.
AI park CEO Umakanth Soni, Director Prof. Rangarajan, CEO Shubhashit Banerjee, National Science and Technology Department Secretary Dr. S. Chandrashekar, Startup Mission Group Chief Prashanth Prakash, entrepreneur Vivek Raghavan, Mohan Das Pai and others were present on the occasion.
