Mysuru, June 24, 2022 (www.justkannada.in): Former Minister H.C. Mahadevappa criticized the State Government, which has refused to withdraw the revised school textbook curriculum. “This is a thick-skinned government. It is their objective to include hatred in school textbooks,” he observed.
Speaking in Mysuru today, he said, “the State Govt. is blind and deaf. They won’t respect people’s mandate. They intend to include lessons that spread hatred among the children. That is why they are not listening to anybody. This government does not have respect for anybody, including Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, Basavanna, Kuvempu, Kanakadasa, etc. It is proven again through the recent revision of school textbooks. It is not correct for them to ask whether the litterateur Baraguru Ramachandrappa-led committee had not committed a mistake,” he said.
