ಕೇಂದ್ರ ರಕ್ಷಣಾ ಸಚಿವ ರಾಜನಾಥ್ ಸಿಂಗ್ ಮತ್ತು ವಾಯುಪಡೆ ಏರ್ ಚೀಫ್ ಮಾರ್ಷಲ್ ವಿ.ಆರ್.ಚೌಧರಿ ಅವರ ಸಮ್ಮುಖದಲ್ಲಿ ಜೋಧ್‍ಪುರದಲ್ಲಿ ಲಘು ಯುದ್ಧ ಹೆಲಿಕಾಪ್ಟರ್ ಗಳನ್ನ ವಾಯುಪಡೆಗೆ ಸೇರ್ಪಡೆಗೊಳಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಬಹುಪಾತ್ರದ ಕ್ಷಿಪಣಿಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಇತರ ಶಸ್ತ್ರಾಸ್ತ್ರಗಳನ್ನು ಹಾರಿಸುವ ಸಾಮರ್ಥ್ಯ ಹೊಂದಿರುವ ಲಘು ಯುದ್ಧ ಹೆಲಿಕಾಪ್ಟರ್ ಅನ್ನು ಹಿಂದೂಸ್ತಾನ್ ಏರೋನೊಟಿಕ್ಸ್ ಲಿಮಿಟೆಡ್ (ಎಚ್‍ಎಎಲ್) ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿಪಡಿಸಿದೆ.
5.8 ಟನ್ ತೂಕದ ಅವಳಿ ಎಂಜಿನ್ ಹೆಲಿಕಾಪ್ಟರ್ ಈಗಾಗಲೇ ವಿವಿಧ ಶಸ್ತ್ರಾಸ್ತ್ರಗಳ ಗುಂಡಿನ ಪರೀಕ್ಷೆಯನ್ನು ಪೂರ್ಣಗೊಳಿಸಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳು ತಿಳಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಕಳೆದ ಮಾರ್ಚ್‍ ನಲ್ಲಿ, ಪ್ರಧಾನಿ ನರೇಂದ್ರ ಮೋದಿ ನೇತೃತ್ವದ ಭದ್ರತೆಯ ಕ್ಯಾಬಿನೆಟ್ ಸಮಿತಿ 3,887 ಕೋಟಿ ರೂಪಾಯಿ ವೆಚ್ಚದಲ್ಲಿ ಎಚ್‍ಎಎಲ್ ನಿಂದ 15 ಸೀಮಿತ ಸರಣಿಯ ಹೆಲಿಕಾಪ್ಟರ್ ಖರೀದಿಗೆ ಅನುಮೋದನೆ ನೀಡಿತ್ತು.

More strength to Indian Air Force: 15 indigenous light combat helicopters inducted
New Delhi, October 3, 2022 (www.justkannada.in): Fifteen indigenous combat helicopters were inducted to the Indian Air Force today strengthening its fleet.
The light combat helicopters were inducted today in the presence of the Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and Air Force Chief Marshall V.R. Chowdhary, at Jodhpulara. These indigenous helicopters are capable of carrying and launching multirole missiles and other weapons, and have been developed by the Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL).
Each of these helicopters weighing 5.8 tonnes have completed several tests according to the officials concerned. The Union Defence Cabinet Committee led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi had given its nod to purchase 15 limited edition helicopters from HAL at a cost of Rs. 3,887 crore.
