Mysuru, October 13, 2022 (www.justkannada.in): University of Mysore, former Vice-Chancellor Prof. K.S. Rangappa, today informed that a workshop on the National Education Policy (NEP) will be held on October 15.
Addressing a press meet in Mysuru today, he informed that the workshop has been organized by the Karnataka Former Vice-Chancellors’ Forum, Alumni Association of the University of Mysore, at the Vignana Bhavana in Manasa Gangotri campus. The workshop will be inaugurated by Education Expert Doreswamy, at 11.00 am. University of Mysore Vice-Chancellor, Prof. G. Hemanth Kumar will be present.
“The first year implementation of the NEP 2020 has already been done at the state-level, and the students are facing at the second year. However, there are still several shortcomings in several postgraduate colleges, universities and Department of Collegiate Education. Hence, this workshop has been organized to identify all the shortcomings and obtain suitable solutions for the same. The Forum of former Vice-Chancellors’ of Karnataka has been formed for this purpose, which is functional from the last two months, He informed.
Former Vice-Chancellor Dr. N. Ramegowda, Committee member Prof. Niranjan and others were present in the press meet.
