Bengaluru, November 5, 2022 (www.justkannada.in): Former Chief Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy has demanded Health Minister Dr. K. Sudhakar resign from his post, shouldering the responsibility for the death of three persons, including a mother and her twins, due to the negligence of the District Hospital staff in Tumakuru.
In a series of tweets, the former CM has exuded his ire on the health Minister: “You have the pride of converting the government hospitals in the state as places of hell under the ‘Killer Govt.’ that enjoys every death and crime. Three persons including a mother and her twins lost their lives due to the negligence of the doctors in the Tumakuru District Hospital. Don’t you have at least a little bit of regret and concern about it?”
“Instead of addressing the issue, it is shameful that you try to defend the incident. Doesn’t it show your mindset? If the situation in a district-level hospital is like this, just imagine the condition in the taluk and lower-level hospitals. The pregnant lady who came to the hospital was not attended to due to the cruel attitude of the hospital staff. As a result, she lost her life with her still unborn children. Doesn’t it hurt you? This is the cruelest situation our state has ever seen. Is it wrong for me to question it?” his tweet read.
He has demanded that Minister K. Sudhakar take responsibility and resign from his post on moral grounds. “If you don’t have the ethics at least the Chief Minister should exhibit it. He should fire you. Does your party and the present State Govt. have such ethics?” he has questioned.
