Actor Ramesh Aravind flags off ‘vehicles of gratitude’ to identify and felicitate health workers

Bengaluru, July 19, 2021 (www.justkannada.in): “It is the duty of every one of us to express our gratitude to every COVID warrior, we all are grateful to them,” opined veteran actor Ramesh Aravind.
He participated in a press meet organized by the Kaveri Hospital, held at the Tennis Association, on Monday. In his address after flagging off the ‘vehicles of gratitude,’ Ramesh Aravind said that the pandemic has created a health emergency across the world. “We are all alive today because of the efforts of the COVID warriors. Their service is like our mothers and we cannot repay their gratitude. I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate the Kaveri Hospital for its gesture of identifying and felicitating all the COVID warriors,” he added.
Speaking on the occasion, Kaveri Hospital Executive Director Vijayabhaskaran said, “We launched the ‘gratitude program’ on July 31, to offer our salutes to the COVID warriors. As a part of this 5 vehicles will visit more than 300 government and private hospitals across Bengaluru city and felicitate all the COVID warriors at their place. Awards will also be given to those hospitals that have been innovative in providing COVID treatment,” he informed.
On the occasion, he explained that the children of COVID warriors who died while duty will be provided financial help. “A sum of up to Rs. 2 lakh will be provided to the needy children as scholarship and we will assist the degree holders to find a suitable job. I request interested families to come forward and register the names,” he said.
Five vehicles were flagged off on the occasion. All these five vehicles will visit 300 hospitals across the city in the next 12 days and felicitate health warriors. Health personnel of the Victoria Hospital was felicitated on the first day under this program.
