ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು,ಜುಲೈ,23,2021(www.justkannada.in): ದೇಶದ ಮುಂಚೂಣಿ ಜೈವಿಕ ವಿಜ್ಞಾನಗಳ ತಾಂತ್ರಿಕತೆ ಹಾಗೂ ನಾವೀನ್ಯತಾ ಕೇಂದ್ರವಾದ ಸಿ-ಕ್ಯಾಂಪ್ (ಸೆಂಟರ್ ಫಾರ್ ಸೆಲ್ಯುಲರ್ ಅಂಡ್ ಮಾಲಿಕ್ಯುಲರ್ ಪ್ಲ್ಯಾಟ್ ಫಾರ್ಮ್ಸ್) ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯು ಕೃಷಿ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರದ ಪ್ರಮುಖ ಸವಾಲುಗಳಿಗೆ ನಾವೀನ್ಯತಾ ಪರಿಹಾರಗಳನ್ನು ಉತ್ತೇಜಿಸಲು ಮೊತ್ತಮೊದಲ ಬಾರಿಗೆ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರಮಟ್ಟದ ‘ಅಗ್ರಿಕಲ್ಚರಲ್ ಗ್ರ್ಯಾಂಡ್ ಚಾಲೆಂಜಸ್ ಸ್ಪರ್ಧೆಯನ್ನು ಪ್ರಕಟಿಸಿದೆ.
ಕೃಷಿ ತಾಂತ್ರಿಕತೆಗಾಗಿ ಇರುವ ರಾಜ್ಯದ ಕೆ-ಟೆಕ್ ಉತ್ಕೃಷ್ಠತಾ ಕೇಂದ್ರವು ಕೃಷಿ ಇಲಾಖೆ ಹಾಗೂ ಐಟಿ/ಬಿಟಿ ಮತ್ತು ವಿಜ್ಞಾನ & ತಂತ್ರಜ್ಞಾನ ಇಲಾಖೆಗಳ ಸಹಯೋಗದಲ್ಲಿ ಆಯೋಜಿಸಲಾಗಿರುವ ಈ ಸ್ಪರ್ಧೆ ಕುರಿತು ಉಪ ಮುಖ್ಯಮಂತ್ರಿ ಡಾ.ಸಿ.ಎನ್.ಅಶ್ವತ್ಥ ನಾರಾಯಣ ಅವರು ಶುಕ್ರವಾರ ಪ್ರಕಟಿಸಿದರು.
ಸಿ- ಕ್ಯಾಂಪ್ ನಲ್ಲಿ ಈ ಸ್ಪರ್ಧೆ ಕುರಿತು ಮಾತನಾಡಿದ ಡಿಸಿಎಂ ಅಶ್ವತ್ಥ ನಾರಾಯಣ್ ಅವರು, ನವೋದ್ಯಮಿಗಳನ್ನು ಈ ಸ್ಪರ್ಧೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಪಾಲ್ಗೊಳ್ಳಲು ಉತ್ತೇಜಿಸುವ ಮೂಲಕ ಕೃಷಿ ವಲಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಆರ್ಥಿಕ ಕಾರ್ಯಸಾಧುವಾದ, ಪರಿಹಾರ ಕೇಂದ್ರಿತವಾದ, ಅತ್ಯಾಧುನಿಕ ವಿಜ್ಞಾನ ಹಾಗೂ ತಾಂತ್ರಿಕತೆ ಆಧಾರಿತ ಉದ್ಯಮಶೀಲತೆಯನ್ನು ಪ್ರೋತ್ಸಾಹಿಸಲಾಗುತ್ತದೆ ಎಂದರು.
ದೇಶದ ಕೃಷಿ ವಲಯದ ಪ್ರಮುಖ ಬಿಕ್ಕಟ್ಟುಗಳಿಗೆ ಆಧುನಿಕ ತಂತ್ರಜ್ಞಾನ ಬಳಸಿ ನಾವೀನ್ಯತಾ ಪರಿಹಾರಗಳನ್ನು ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿಪಡಿಸಲು ಈ ಸ್ಪರ್ಧೆ ಗುರಿ ನೀಡುತ್ತದೆ. ಇದರಲ್ಲಿ ಗೆಲುವು ಕಂಡವರಿಗೆ ನವೋದ್ಯಮಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ರೂ 25 ಲಕ್ಷದವರೆಗೆ ಅನುದಾನ ನೀಡುವ ಜೊತೆಗೆ ಸಿ-ಕ್ಯಾಂಪ್ ವತಿಯಿಂದ ಪರಿಪೋಷಕತ್ವ ಹಾಗೂ ಮಾರ್ಗದರ್ಶನ ಸೌಲಭ್ಯ ಒದಗಿಸಲಾಗುತ್ತದೆ ಎಂದು ಅಶ್ವತ್ಥ ನಾರಾಯಣ್ ವಿವರಿಸಿದರು.
ನವೋದ್ಯಮ ಸಹಭಾಗಿತ್ವಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ‘ಇಂಡೋ-ಇಸ್ರೇಲ್ ಇನ್ನೊವೇಷನ್ ಬ್ರಿಜ್’ ಒಡಂಬಡಿಕೆ
ಇದೇ ಸಂದರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ ‘ಇಂಡೋ-ಇಸ್ರೇಲ್ ಇನ್ನೊವೇಷನ್ ಬ್ರಿಜ್’ ಗಾಗಿ ಪರಸ್ಪರ ತಿಳಿವಳಿಕೆ ಒಪ್ಪಂದ (ಎಂಒಯು) ಏರ್ಪಟ್ಟಿತು. ಎರಡೂ ದೇಶಗಳ, ಜೀವವಿಜ್ಞಾನಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಕೃಷಿ ತಾಂತ್ರಿಕತೆ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರದ ನವೋದ್ಯಮಗಳ ನಡುವೆ ಸಹಭಾಗಿತ್ವ ಹೆಚ್ಚಿಸುವ ಉದ್ದೇಶವನ್ನು ಇದು ಹೊಂದಿದೆ.
ದಕ್ಷಿಣ ಭಾರತದ ಇಸ್ರೇಲ್ ಕಾನ್ಸುಲ್ ಜನರಲ್ ಡಾ.ಜೊನಾಥನ್ ಜಡ್ಕಾ ಮಾತನಾಡಿ, “ಈ ಒಡಂಬಡಿಕೆಯಿಂದಾಗಿ ಎರಡೂ ದೇಶಗಳ ನವೋದ್ಯಮಗಳ ನಡುವೆ ಸಹಕಾರ ಹೆಚ್ಚಾಗಲಿದೆ. ಇದು, ಪರಸ್ಪರ ದೇಶಗಳ ಪರಿಣತ ವಲಯಗಳನ್ನು ಒಂದೇ ವೇದಿಕೆಯಡಿ ತಂದು ಆಧುನಿಕ ಸಂಶೋಧನೆ ಮತ್ತು ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿಗೆ ಸಹಭಾಗಿತ್ವದ ವಾತಾವರಣವನ್ನು ರೂಪಿಸುತ್ತದೆ” ಎಂದರು.
ಇದೇ ಸಂದರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ, ಸಿ-ಕ್ಯಾಂಪ್ ನೆರವಿನಿಂದ ದೇಶೀಯವಾಗಿ ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿಪಡಿಸಲಾಗಿರುವ ಕೋವಿಡ್-19 ಲಸಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ಎಲ್ಲಿಗೆ ಬೇಕಾದರೂ ಕೊಂಡೊಯ್ಯಬಹುದಾದ ಕೋಲ್ಡ್ ಚೈನ್ ತಾಂತ್ರಿಕತೆಯ ಬಾಕ್ಸ್ ಅನ್ನು ಸರ್ಕಾರಕ್ಕೆ ಹಸ್ತಾಂತರಿಸಲಾಯಿತು.
ಎನ್ ಸಿಬಿಎಸ್ ನಿರ್ದೇಶಕ ಪ್ರೊ.ಸತ್ಯಜಿತ್ ಮೇಯರ್, ಇನ್ ಸ್ಟೆಮ್ ನಿರ್ದೇಶಕ ಪ್ರೊ.ಅಪೂರ್ವ ಸರಿನ್, ಐಟಿ/ಬಿಟಿ ಇಲಾಖೆ ನಿರ್ದೇಶಕರಾದ ಮೀನಾ ನಾಗರಾಜ್, ಸಿ-ಕ್ಯಾಂಪ್ ಸಿಇಒ ಮತ್ತು ನಿರ್ದೇಶಕ ತಸ್ಲೀಂ ಆರೀಫ್‌ ಸಯ್ಯದ್‌ ಮುಂತಾದವರು ಈ ಸಂದರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ ಹಾಜರಿದ್ದರು.
‘ಅಗ್ರಿ ಗ್ರ್ಯಾಂಡ್ ಚಾಲೆಂಡ್-21’ ಸ್ಪರ್ಧೆಗೆ ನಿಗದಿ ಮಾಡಲಾಗಿರುವ ಕೃಷಿ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರದ ಮೂರು ಸವಾಲುಗಳು ಹೀಗಿವೆ:
- ಮಣ್ಣು ಮತ್ತು/ಅಥವಾ ಸಸ್ಯ ಅಂಗಾಂಶದಲ್ಲಿ ಸ್ಥೂಲ/ಸೂಕ್ಷ್ಮ ಪೌಷ್ಟಿಕಾಂಶಗಳ ಸಾಂದ್ರತೆಯನ್ನು ಕ್ಷಿಪ್ರವಾಗಿ, ನಿಖರವಾಗಿ ಹಾಗೂ ಕಡಿಮೆ ದರದಲ್ಲಿ ಪರೀಕ್ಷಿಸಬಲ್ಲ ಪರಿಕಲ್ಪನೆಯ ಪುರಾವೆ (ಪಿಒಸಿ)
- ರಾಸಾಯನಿಕ/ಜೈವಿಕ/ಐ.ಆರ್. (ಅವಗೆಂಪು ತಾಂತ್ರಿಕತೆ) ವಿಧಾನಗಳ ಮೂಲಕ ಕೃಷಿ ಉತ್ಪನ್ನಗಳ ಬಾಳಿಕೆ ಅವಧಿ ಹೆಚ್ಚಿಸುವುದು ಹಾಗೂ ಕಟಾವಿನ ನಂತರ ನಷ್ಟದ ಪ್ರಮಾಣವನ್ನು ಕನಿಷ್ಠ ಮಟ್ಟಕ್ಕೆ ತಗ್ಗಿಸುವುದು.
- ಕಾಫಿ ಗಿಡಗಳಿಗೆ ತಗುಲುವ ಬಿಳಿ ಕಾಂಡಕೊರಕಗಳ ಪ್ರಸರಣವನ್ನು ಪತ್ತೆಹಚ್ಚುವ ಜೊತೆಗೆ ಅದನ್ನು ಉಪಚರಿಸಲು ತಾಂತ್ರಿಕತೆ.

MoU for ‘Indo-Israel Innovation Bridge’ to collaborate in Life Sciences and Agritech
Bengaluru: The Centre for Cellular and Molecular Platforms (C-CAMP), the country’s premier biosciences technology & innovation hub has announced the first nationwide call for Agriculture Grand Challenges under K-tech Centre of Excellence for Agri-innovation, jointly supported by Agriculture Department and Dept. of Electronics, IT, Bt and S&T, GoK, on Friday.
On launching the GoK supported program, DyCM, Dr.C.N. Ashwatha Narayana, who is also the minister of IT/Bt and S& T, said, through the Grand Challenge program, C-CAMP and GoK will promote the introduction of economically viable, problem-focused, deep-science, and deep-technology driven entrepreneurship in the agri-sector.
This Grand Challenge aims to identify promising innovations to address major problem areas of Indian agriculture. For each winning StartUp funding of up to 25 lakhs, incubation, mentorship and handholding etc, will be provided by C-CAMP, Narayana explained.
MoU for ‘Indo-Israel Innovation Bridge’
This occasion also witnessed the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for ‘Indo-Israel Innovation Bridge’, which has the objective of bringing together the StartUp ecosystems of both countries in Life Sciences and Agritech.
Dr. Zonathan Zadka, Consul General of Israel to South India, told, “the potential of the initiative is enormous and has already generated tangible cooperation between StartUps of two countries. This will enable to consolidate existing islands of excellence spread across the two nations to create a collaborative environment for cutting-edge Research and Development.”
On the occasion, C-CAMP assisted indigenously developed portable COVID-19 vaccine cold chain equipment was officially handed over to the state government.
Prof Satyajit Mayor, Director NCBS., Prof Apurva Sarin, Director InStem, Meena Nagaraj, Director, Dept. of IT/Bt and S&T, and others were present.
3 Problem statements under Agri Grand Challenge-2021 are:
1) A quick, accurate, and affordable PoC (Proof of Concept) method for testing a) macro/micronutrient density in soil and/or plant tissue and b) soil microbial diversity.
2) A technology to enhance the shelf life of produce and minimization of post-harvest losses through chemical/biological/IR methods.
3) A technology for detection and treatment of white stem borer infestation in Coffee crop.
