ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು,ಡಿಸೆಂಬರ್,15,2021(www.justkannada.in):  ತಮಿಳುನಾಡಿನ ಊಟಿಯ ಕೂನೂರು ಬಳಿ ಸಂಭವಿಸಿದ್ಧ ಸೇನಾ ಹೆಲಿಕಾಪ್ಟರ್ ದುರಂತದಲ್ಲಿ ಬದುಕುಳಿದು ಗಂಭೀರ ಗಾಯಗೊಂಡು ಆಸ್ಪತ್ರೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆ ಪಡೆಯುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ವಾಯುಸೇನೆಯ ಗ್ರೂಪ್ ಕ್ಯಾಪ್ಟನ್ ವರುಣ್ ಸಿಂಗ್ ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆ ಫಲಿಸದೆ ಕೊನೆಯುಸಿರೆಳೆದಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

ತಮಿಳುನಾಡಿನ ಊಟಿಯ ಕೂನೂರು ಬಳಿ ಇತ್ತೀಚೆಗೆ ಸೇನಾ ಹೆಲಿಕಾಪ್ಟರ್ ಪತನವಾಗಿ ಸಿಡಿಎಸ್ ಬಿಪಿನ್ ರಾವತ್, ಪತ್ನಿ ಮಾಧುಲಿಕಾ ರಾವತ್  ಸೇರಿ 13 ಮಂದಿ ನಿಧನರಾಗಿದ್ದರು. ಘಟನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಯುಸೇನೆಯ ಗ್ರೂಪ್ ಕ್ಯಾಪ್ಟನ್ ವರುಣ್ ಸಿಂಗ್ ಬದುಕುಳಿದಿದ್ದರು.

ಶೇ.45ರಷ್ಟು ಸುಟ್ಟಗಾಯಗಳಿಂದ ಗಂಭೀರ ಗಾಯಗೊಂಡಿದ್ದ ವರುಣ್ ಸಿಂಗ್ ಅವರನ್ನ ವೆಲ್ಲಿಂಗ್ ಟನ್ ಆಸ್ಪತ್ರೆಗೆ ದಾಖಲಿಸಿ ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆ ನೀಡಲಾಗುತ್ತಿತ್ತು. ನಂತರ ಹೆಚ್ಚಿನ ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆಗಾಗಿ ಅವರನ್ನ ಬೆಂಗಳೂರಿನ ಕಮಂಡೋ ಆಸ್ಪತ್ರೆಗೆ ದಾಖಲಿಸಲಾಗಿತ್ತು. ವರುಣ್ ಸಿಂಗ್ ಜೀವನ್ಮರಣದ ನಡುವೆ ಹೋರಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು. ಆದರೆ ಇಂದು ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆ ಫಲಿಸದೇ ವರುಣ್ ಸಿಂಗ್ ಆಸ್ಪತ್ರೆಯಲ್ಲೇ ನಿಧನರಾಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

Army helicopter crash lone survivor Group Captain Varun Singh dies
Bengaluru, December 15, 2021 (www.justkannada.in): The only survivor of the Indian Air Force chopper that crashed near Coonoor, Ooty in Tamil Nadu recently, who was being treated at the Command Hospital in Bengaluru today breathed his last.
It can be recalled here that 13 members, who were in the copter including CDS Bipin Rawat and his wife Madhulika Rawat, had lost their lives after the chopper crashed. Group Captain Varun Singh was the lone survivor.
However, he was grievously injured with 45% burn injuries. After he was found he was first admitted to the Wellington Hospital in Ooty. He was shifted to the Commando Hospital in Bengaluru for further treatment. However, he breathed his last after struggling all these days.
