ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು, ಫೆಬ್ರವರಿ 9,2021(www.justkannada.in): ದಂತ ಆರೋಗ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ ಸಂಬಂಧಿಸಿದಂತೆ ಗ್ರಾಮೀಣ ಪ್ರದೇಶದ ಜನರಲ್ಲಿ ಹೆಚ್ಚಿನ ಅರಿವು ಮೂಡಿಸಬೇಕು ಎಂದು ಆರೋಗ್ಯ ಮತ್ತು ವೈದ್ಯಕೀಯ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ಸಚಿವ ಡಾ.ಕೆ.ಸುಧಾಕರ್ ಹೇಳಿದರು.
ರಾಜೀವ್ ಗಾಂಧಿ ಆರೋಗ್ಯ ವಿಜ್ಞಾನಗಳ ವಿಶ್ವವಿದ್ಯಾಲಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಅಂತಾರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ದಂತ ವೈದ್ಯ ದಿನಾಚರಣೆ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದಲ್ಲಿ ಮಾತನಾಡಿದ ಸಚಿವ ಸುಧಾಕರ್, ಹೊರದೇಶಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಜನರು ವರ್ಷಕ್ಕೆ ಕನಿಷ್ಠ ಎರಡು ಬಾರಿ ದಂತ ಆರೋಗ್ಯದ ತಪಾಸಣೆ ಮಾಡಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಆದರೆ ನಮ್ಮಲ್ಲಿ ಗ್ರಾಮೀಣ ಪ್ರದೇಶದ ಜನರು ಹಲ್ಲು ನೋವು ತಡೆಯಲಾರದ ಮಟ್ಟಿಗೆ ಬೆಳೆದ ಬಳಿಕವಷ್ಟೇ ವೈದ್ಯರ ಬಳಿ ಹೋಗಿ ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆ ಪಡೆಯುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಹೊರದೇಶಗಳಿಗೆ ಹೋಲಿಸಿದರೆ ನಮ್ಮಲ್ಲಿ ದಂತ ಆರೋಗ್ಯದ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಜಾಗೃತಿ ಕಡಿಮೆ ಇದೆ. ಈ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಜನರಲ್ಲಿ ಜಾಗೃತಿ ಮೂಡಿಸಬೇಕಿದೆ ಎಂದರು.
ಹಳ್ಳಿಗಳ ಜನರು ಇಂದಿಗೂ ಇಟ್ಟಿಗೆ ಪುಡಿಯನ್ನು ಬಳಸಿ ಹಲ್ಲು ಉಜ್ಜುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಅನೇಕರಿಗೆ ಪೇಸ್ಟ್ ಬಳಸಬೇಕು ಎಂದು ಗೊತ್ತಿರುವುದಿಲ್ಲ. ಹೊರದೇಶಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ದಂತ ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆ, ತಪಾಸಣೆಗೆ ಬಹಳ ದೊಡ್ಡ ದರವಿದೆ. ಆದರೆ ನಮ್ಮ ದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ಕಡಿಮೆ ದರವಿದೆ. ಈ ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥೆಯನ್ನು ಬಳಸಿಕೊಂಡು ಜನರು ದಂತ ಆರೋಗ್ಯವನ್ನು ಸದಾ ಉತ್ತಮವಾಗಿರಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕು ಎಂದರು.
ಭಾರತೀಯ ವೈದ್ಯ ಪದ್ಧತಿ ಬಹಳ ಪುರಾತನವಾಗಿದೆ. ಚರಕ, ಸುಶ್ರುತ ಮೊದಲಾದ ವೈದ್ಯರು ಬೆಳೆಸಿದ ವೈದ್ಯ ಪದ್ಧತಿ ಇಂದಿನ ಕಾಲಕ್ಕೂ ಪ್ರಸ್ತುತವಾಗಿದೆ. ದಂತ ವೈದ್ಯಕೀಯ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರದ ಹಿರಿಯರಾದ ಡಾ.ಎಸ್.ರಾಮಚಂದ್ರ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಈ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದಲ್ಲಿ ಗೌರವ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಿರುವುದು ಸಂತಸ ತಂದಿದೆ ಎಂದರು.

We have cost effective Dental treatment in India
Bengaluru – February 9, 2021: There is a need to create awareness among rural people about dental health, said Health & Medical Education Minister Dr.K.Sudhakar. He was speaking on the occasion of International Dentists Day held at Rajeev Gandhi University of Health sciences.
People abroad go for dental check-ups at least twice in a year in other countries. But in rural areas of our country people visit dentist only after the pain is irresistible. There is lack of awareness regarding the dental care in India, we need to create awareness about this especially in rural area, said the Minister.
Rural people are still using charcoal powder and they are ignorant of using tooth paste till today. We have very low dental treatment cost compared to other nations. People should make use of this to keep their dental health in good condition said Dr.Sudhakar.
The Minister also said that Indian medicine system is oldest in the world. The practice used by the greats of Charaka, Kanada are still relevant today. I am happy that senior Dentist Dr.S.Ramachandra is honoured in this event. He added.
