Bengaluru, Mar. 20, 2021 (www.justkannada.in): Citizens have been allowed to take the silt accumulated in the Vartur tank that comes under the Bangalore Development Authority limits. Farmers in the surrounding areas have been requested to submit appeals at the BDA site office to utilize the silt.
Silt from the Bellandur and Vartur tanks in Bengaluru East Taluk have been removed as per the directions of the National Green Tribunal Bench. The Karnataka Pollution Control Board has certified that the silt removed from these tanks is suitable to be used for agricultural land fertility.
