Bengaluru, August 16, 2021 (www.justkannadain): The E-Administration branch of the Rural Development and Panchayat Raj Department, in association with the Health Department and DPAR, has introduced a ‘Cashless Health Card’ distribution campaign.
This campaign has been initiated in order to free the poor people from the clutches of diseases, as part of the 75th year Independence Day celebrations. Distribution of the cards has commenced from August 15th itself in four districts of the State on a pilot basis.
Speaking to ‘Justkannada,’ RDPR E-Administration Director Shilpanag informed that the RDPR has initiated this campaign under a special campaign titled ‘Arogya Maasa,’ (Health month). “Health Karnataka card distribution month is being observed under the guidance of the RDPR Principal Secretary Uma Mahadevan. Poor beneficiaries will be identified and cards will be distributed to them. They can avail treatment for any kind of disease using this card.”
“We have an aim of distributing this ‘Cashless Card’ to 1 crore beneficiaries. A special program is being held from August 15 to September 14, where cards will be distributed to beneficiaries on the spot. The objective of this campaign is to ensure that the poor people will get treatment at all times, especially during this COVID-19 Pandemic period.”
The Health Karnataka cards will be given to 1.3 crore beneficiaries in the state. The RDPR Department is also working towards providing the cards to others at the earliest. Arrangements have been made to distribute these cards on the spot in four districts including Chikkamagaluru, Vijayapura, Bidar, and Davanagere from August 15. These cards will be distributed at the Bapuji Seva Kendra, Gram One Seva Kendra, and other government service centers. Beneficiaries can get the cards by producing Aadhar cards and ration cards, and giving biometric details.
