ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು,ಡಿಸೆಂಬರ್,30,2020(www.justkannada.in): ವೃತ್ತಿಪರ ಕೋರ್ಸ್ ಗಳ ಖಾಲಿ ಇರುವ ಸೀಟುಗಳಿಗೆ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳ ಪ್ರವೇಶಕ್ಕೆ ಮತ್ತೊಂದು ಸುತ್ತಿನ ಕೌನ್ಸೆಲಿಂಗ್ ಮಾಡುವ ಅಗತ್ಯ ಇದ್ದು, ಜನವರಿ 15ರವರೆಗೆ ಅವಕಾಶ ನೀಡಬೇಕು ಎಂದು ಕೋರಿ ಉನ್ನತ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ಇಲಾಖೆಯು ಅಖಿಲ ಭಾರತ ತಾಂತ್ರಿಕ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ಮಂಡಲಿ (ಎಐಸಿಟಿಇ) ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷರಿಗೆ ಪತ್ರ ಬರೆದಿದೆ.
ಉನ್ನತ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ಸಚಿವರೂ ಆದ ಉಪ ಮುಖ್ಯಮಂತ್ರಿ ಡಾ.ಸಿ.ಎನ್.ಅಶ್ವತ್ಥ ನಾರಾಯಣ ಅವರು ಬುಧವಾರ ಪತ್ರಿಕಾ ಹೇಳಿಕೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಈ ವಿಷಯ ತಿಳಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
ಉಳಿದಿರುವ ವೃತ್ತಿಪರ ಕೋರ್ಸ್ ಗಳ ಸೀಟ್ ಗಳನ್ನು ಆಯ್ಕೆ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲು ಮತ್ತೊಂದು ಸಲ, ಕೊನೆಯದಾಗಿ ಅವಕಾಶ ನೀಡಬೇಕೆಂದು ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ಮನವಿ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಇದರ ಜೊತೆಗೆ, ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ಅನುದಾನರಹಿತ ಖಾಸಗಿ ಶೈಕ್ಷಣಿಕ ಕಾಲೇಜುಗಳ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆ (ಕೆಯುಪಿಇಸಿಎ) ಕೂಡ ಎಂಜಿನಿಯರಿಂಗ್ ಮತ್ತು ಆರ್ಕಿಟೆಕ್ಚರ್ ಕೋರ್ಸ್ ಗಳಿಗೆ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳ ಪ್ರವೇಶಕ್ಕೆ ಜನವರಿ 15ರವರೆಗೆ ಕಾಲಾವಕಾಶ ವಿಸ್ತರಿಸಲು ಕೋರಿದೆ. ಈ ಅಂಶಗಳನ್ನು ಗಮನದಲ್ಲಿರಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳ ಹಿತದೃಷ್ಟಿಯಿಂದ ಪತ್ರ ಬರೆಯಲಾಗಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಅವರು ವಿವರಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
ಈ ಹಿಂದಿನ ಅನುಮತಿಯ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ವೃತ್ತಿಪರ ಕೋರ್ಸ್ ಗೆ ಪ್ರವೇಶ ಪಡೆಯಲು 31-12- 2020 ಕೊನೆಯ ದಿನವಾಗಿದೆ. ಆದರೆ ಯುಜಿ ಸಿಇಟಿ ಮಾಪ್ ಅಪ್ ಸುತ್ತಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಎಂಜಿನಿಯರಿಂಗ್ ಸೀಟು ಪಡೆದಿದ್ದ ಕೆಲವು ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು, ಸೀಟು ಹಿಂಪಡೆದು ಶುಲ್ಕ ಮರುಪಾವತಿಸುವಂತೆ ಆಗ್ರಹಿಸಿ ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ಪರೀಕ್ಷಾ ಪ್ರಾಧಿಕಾರದ ಮುಂದೆ ಸೋಮವಾರ ಪೋಷಕರೊಂದಿಗೆ ಪ್ರತಿಭಟನೆ ನಡೆಸಿದ್ದರು.
“ಎಂಜಿನಿಯರಿಂಗ್ ಬದಲು ಆಯುಷ್, ಬಿ.ಎಸ್ಸಿ., ಬಿ.ಕಾಂ., ಅಥವಾ ಇನ್ನಿತರ ಕೋರ್ಸ್ ಗಳನ್ನು ಓದಲು ಇಚ್ಛಿಸುತ್ತೇವೆ. ಆಯುಷ್ ಕೋರ್ಸ್ ಗಳಿಗೆ ಇನ್ನೂ ಕೌನ್ಸೆಲಿಂಗ್ ನಡೆಸಿಲ್ಲ. ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ ಎಂಜಿನಿಯರಿಂಗ್ ಸೀಟು ಹಿಂದಕ್ಕೆ ಪಡೆದು ಅನುಕೂಲವಾಗುತ್ತದೆ” ಎಂದೂ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ಹೇಳಿದ್ದರು.

Letter to AICTE seeking time till Jan 15- DyCM Dr.C.N.Ashwatha Narayana
Bengaluru: The department of higher education has a written a letter to the chairman of AICTE seeking time till Jan 15 for candidates admission for all professional courses as one more round of counseling is required to provide an opportunity to get vacant seats.
Deputy Chief Minister Dr.C.N.Ashwatha Narayana, who is also the higher education minister has informed this in an official press release on Wednesday.
There are requests from the students to conduct one more round of counseling so that they can be given a last chance to elect the courses leftover. Further, the KUPECA (Karnataka Unaided Private Education Colleges Association) has requested to extend the date up to 15th January 2021 for admissions to the engineering and architecture courses. Considering the above facts and in the interest of the students the letter has been written, he has explained.
As per the earlier approval, 31-12-2020 is the last day to get admission for professional courses. But, some students who had got engineering seats in the UG CET mop-up round, had held protests along with parents on Monday in front of Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA), demanding to withdraw seats and repayment of fees.
The students had also said that they would prefer to study AYUSH, B.Sc., B.Com., and other such courses instead of engineering. But still, Counseling had not been conducted for AYUSH courses and so, it would facilitate them if engineering seats were withdrawn.
