Bengaluru, May 5, 2021 (www.justkannada.in): The State Government has ordered a judicial inquiry into the incident where 24 people had to lose their lives at the Chamarajanagara District Hospital after running out of oxygen.
The investigation will be conducted under the leadership of Retired Justice B.A. Patel and will submit the report within 1 month. It will be a one-member investigation team. the Hon’ble High Court Division Bench has directed the Chief Secretary to the Government to seize the documents at the office of the DC, Mysuru District as well as the related documents of the Chamarajanagara District Hospital regarding the transportation of Oxygen. The Hon’ble High Court Divisional Bench has also informed that the investigation officer can verify the seized documents. The Hon’ble High Court of Karnataka had expressed its opinion that a judicial inquiry is required into the Chamarajanagara incident and had asked the Govt. of Karnataka to inform about its opinion.
