Mysuru, August 6, 2021 (www.justkannada.in): The Goddess Chamundeshari temple atop Chamundi Hills, which used to witness heavy rush during the auspicious Ashada Friday, wore almost a deserted look today on the occasion of the last Ashada Friday.
The fear of 3rd wave of COVID pandemic has forced the District Administration to impose restrictions on the entry of devotees to the Chamundi hills, due to which there were no visitors today.
All the roads to the Chamundi hills were closed today, and entry was permitted only to those who stay atop the hill. All the shops atop the hills also remained closed today. Residents atop the hills offered puja in front of the temple as the doors were closed. However, Rudrabhishek, Kumkumabhishek, and other pujas were offered to the goddess.
