Mysuru, November 10, 2022 (www.justkannada.in): “Today many students who are pursuing higher studies do not know how to speak correctly. The number of students is increasing year-by-year in the campus. But, quality among the students is declining,” observed MP Srinivas Prasad.
He participated in the ‘Sosale Siddappa Samagra Samputa, and ‘Horalu Haadi’, books authored by Prof. M.S. Shekar, and seminar, held at the Rani Bahaddur auditorium today. “Today many research students cannot speak properly. They don’t have the courage and hesitate to get into teaching profession. They don’t have presentation skills, they just by heart the answers and pass the exams. Many of them are scared to face competitive exams and request for non-teaching jobs,” he said.
“Children should develop reading habits, it evolves knowledge. Dr. B.R. Ambedkar gained knowledge as he was a voracious reader. Reading will take you to new heights. Today we could sit in the Lok Sabha because of his reservation policy. A learned student will have more will power. Only exam preparation is not enough, you should work hard. I have spoken with the Prime Minister regarding establishment of the Buddha Research Center. Chief Minister Bommai has assured to announce grants in the budget if the required place is provided,” he observed.
MLA N. Mahesh, Rangayana former Director H. Janardhan (Janni), Kannada Book Authority former Chairman Nandish Hanche, G.V. Anandamurthy, Sosale Siddappa, his daughter-in-law Siddamma, poet Mahadeva Shankarapura, Prfo. Narendra Kumar and others participated.
