Mysuru, September 13, 2021 (www.justkannada.in): Mysuru and Kodagu MP Pratap Simha has urged the State Government to form a separate board like the Wakf Board, in order to protect Hindu temples.
Addressing a press meet in Mysuru today, he informed that the Hon’ble Supreme Court has not ordered to demolish the temple. The Ucchagani Mahadevamma Temple was not posing any problem to the road. It is a historic temple, which they have demolished. “They have demolished the temple without shifting the idol of the deity. I have explained all this to Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai. I have also urged him to initiate action against the Nanjangud Magistrate and also requested to give instructions to the district administration,” he said.
On the occasion, he also informed that the authorities are misguiding the people by saying that it is Supreme Court orders. “They are hurting the religious sentiments of our people,” he alleged.
