ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು, ಮಾರ್ಚ್ 9,2021(www.justkannada.in): ರಾಜೀವ್ ಗಾಂಧಿ ಆರೋಗ್ಯ ವಿಶ್ವವಿದ್ಯಾಲಯದ (ಆರ್ ಜಿಯುಹೆಚ್ಎಸ್) ಅಧೀನದಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಆರೋಗ್ಯ ವಿಜ್ಞಾನಗಳ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ವ್ಯಾಸಾಂಗ ನಿರತ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಹಾಗೂ ಕ್ರೀಡಾಪಟುಗಳಿಗೆ ಕ್ರೀಡೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಉತ್ತೇಜನ ನೀಡುವ ಸಲುವಾಗಿ ವಿವಿ ಸ್ವಾಧಿನದಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಕೆಂಗೇರಿ ಸಮೀಪದ ಭೀಮನಕೊಪ್ಪ ಗ್ರಾಮದ 50 ಎಕರೆ ಜಮೀನಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಅಂತರರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ಗುಣಮಟ್ಟದ ಒಳಾಂಗಣ ಮತ್ತು ಹೊರಾಂಗಣ ಕ್ರೀಡಾಂಗಣ ನಿರ್ಮಿಸಲು ಉದ್ದೇಶಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ ಎಂದು ವಿಶ್ವವಿದ್ಯಾಲಯದ ಉಪಕುಲಪತಿಗಳಾದ ಡಾ.ಎಸ್.ಸಚ್ಚಿದಾನಂದ ತಿಳಿಸಿದರು.
ವಿವಿಯ ಅಧೀನದಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಆರೋಗ್ಯ ವಿಜ್ಞಾನಗಳ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಗಳ ದೈಹಿಕ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ನಿರ್ದೇಶಕರುಗಳಿಗೆ ದೈಹಿಕ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣಕ್ಕೆ ಸಂಬಂಧಿಸಿದಂತೆ ಎರಡು ದಿನಗಳ ರಾಜ್ಯಮಟ್ಟದ ವಿಚಾರ ಸಂಕಿರಣವನ್ನು ಉದ್ಘಾಟಿಸಿ ಮಾತನಾಡಿದ ಅವರು, ಕೆಂಗೇರಿ ಸಮೀಪದ ಭೀಮನಕೊಪ್ಪ ಗ್ರಾಮದ 50 ಎಕರೆ ಭೂಮಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಮೊದಲನೆ ಹಂತದಲ್ಲಿ ತರಬೇತಿ ಮತ್ತು ಸಂಶೋಧನಾ ಕೇಂದ್ರಗಳನ್ನು ನಿರ್ಮಿಸಲಾಗುವುದು. ಎರಡನೇ ಹಂತದಲ್ಲಿ ಅಂತರರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ಗುಣಮಟ್ಟದ ಕ್ರೀಡಾಂಗಣ ನಿರ್ಮಿಸಲು ಯೋಜನೆ ರೂಪಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಪ್ರಕಟಿಸಿದರು.
ಈ ಸಂಬಂಧ ಸಮಗ್ರ ನೀಲಿನಕ್ಷೆಯನ್ನು ಸಿದ್ಧಗೊಳಿಸಲು ಉದ್ದೇಶಿಸಲಾಗಿದ್ದು, ರಾಜ್ಯ ಸರ್ಕಾರ ಹಾಗೂ ವಿವಿ ಸಿಂಡಿಕೇಟ್‌ ಸದಸ್ಯರ ಅನುಮೋದನೆ ಪಡೆದ ಬಳಿಕ ಈ ಯೋಜನೆಯನ್ನು ಕಾರ್ಯಗೊಳಿಸಲಾಗುವುದು ಎಂದು ಉಪಕುಲಪತಿ ಮಾಹಿತಿ ನೀಡಿದರು.
ವಿವಿಯ ಅಧೀನದಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಆರೋಗ್ಯ ವಿಜ್ಞಾನಗಳ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಕ್ರೀಡೆ ಹಾಗೂ ದೈಹಿಕ ಕ್ಷಮತೆಗೆ ಒತ್ತು ನೀಡಲು ರಾಜ್ಯದ 4 ಪ್ರಾದೇಶಿಕ ಕೇಂದ್ರಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಕ್ರೀಡಾ ಚಟುವಟಿಕೆಗಳನ್ನು ಹಮ್ಮಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಈ ಸಂಬಂಧ ಮಂಗಳೂರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಕ್ರೀಡಾ ತರಬೇತಿ ಕೇಂದ್ರ ನಿರ್ಮಾಣಕ್ಕೆ ಯೋಜನೆ ಸಿದ್ಧಗೊಳಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಒಂದೆರಡು ವರ್ಷಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಈ ತರಬೇತಿ ಕೇಂದ್ರದ ನಿರ್ಮಾಣ ಗುರಿ ಹೊಂದಲಾಗಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಅವರು ಹೇಳಿದರು.
ರಾಜ್ಯದ ಕ್ರೀಡಾ ವಸತಿ ನಿಲಯಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ವ್ಯಾಸಂಗ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿರುವ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಿಗೆ ದೈಹಿಕ ಕ್ಷಮತೆ, ಮಾನಸಿಕ ಆರೋಗ್ಯ ಕಾಳಜಿ ಪೌಸ್ಟಿಕ ಆಹಾರದ ಕುರಿತು ಮಾಹಿತಿ ಹಾಗೂ ತರಬೇತಿ ನೀಡುವ ಸಂಬಂಧ ರಾಜ್ಯ ಸರ್ಕಾರದ ಯುವಜನ ಸಬಲೀಕರಣ ಹಾಗೂ ಕ್ರೀಡಾ ಇಲಾಖೆ ಜೊತೆ ವಿಶ್ವವಿದ್ಯಾಲಯ ಒಡಂಬಡಿಕೆ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಉಪಕುಲಪತಿ ಈ ಸಂದರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ ತಿಳಿಸಿದರು.
ವಿಶ್ವವಿದ್ಯಾಲಯ ಯೋಗ, ಕ್ರೀಡೆ ಹಾಗೂ ಇನ್ನಿತರ ಕ್ರೀಡಾ ಸಂಬಂಧಿ ಚಟುವಟಿಕೆಗಳಿಗೆ ಉತ್ತೇಜನ ನೀಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದು, ನಾಲ್ಕು ಬಾರಿ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ಅಥ್ಲೆಟಿಕ್ ಚಾಂಪಿಯನ್ ಕ್ರೀಡಾಕೂಟವನ್ನು ಆಯೋಜಿಸಿತ್ತು. ಕ್ರೀಡಾ ಚಟುವಟಿಕೆಗೆ ಸಂಬಂಧಿಸಿದ ಕೈಂಕರ್ಯವನ್ನು ಮುಂದಿನ ದಿನಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಇನ್ನಷ್ಟು ಎತ್ತರಕ್ಕೆ ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಹೋಗಲಾಗುವುದು ಎಂದ ಅವರು ಏಪ್ರಿಲ್07 ವಿಶ್ವಆರೋಗ್ಯ ದಿನವಾಗಿದ್ದು, ಈ ಸಂಬಂಧ ವಿಶ್ವವಿದ್ಯಾಲಯ ತನ್ನ ಅಧೀನದಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಆರೋಗ್ಯ ವಿಜ್ಞಾನಗಳ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಗಳಗೆ ನಡಿಗೆ, ಓಟ ಹಾಗೂ ಸೈಕ್ಲಿಂಗ್‌ ಆಯೋಜಿಸಲು ಸೂಚಿಸಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಮಾಹಿತಿ ನೀಡಿದರು.
ಸ್ಪೋರ್ಟ್ಸ್ ಮೆಡಿಸಿನ್:
ವಿಶ್ವವಿದ್ಯಾಲಯವು ಈಗಾಗಲೇ ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು ವೈದ್ಯಕೀಯ ಕಾಲೇಜಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಸ್ಪೋರ್ಟ್ಸ್ ಮೆಡಿಸಿನ್ ವಿಭಾಗವನ್ನು ಪ್ರಾರಂಭಿಸಿದೆ.ಇದನ್ನು ಮುಂದಿನ ದಿನಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಇತರ ಸರ್ಕಾರಿ ವೈದ್ಯಕೀಯ ಕಾಲೇಜುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ವಿಸ್ತರಿಸಲಾಗುವುದು ಎಂದ ಅವರು ಫಿಸಿಯೋಥೆರಪಿ ಸ್ನಾತಕೋತ್ತರ ಪದವಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸ್ಪೋರ್ಟ್ಸ್ ಮೆಡಿಸಿನ್ ವಿಭಾಗವನ್ನು ಕೂಡ ತೆರೆಯಲಾಗಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಇದೇ ಸಂದರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ ತಿಳಿಸಿದರು.
ಮಂಗಳೂರು ವಿಶ್ವವಿದ್ಯಾಲದ ದೈಹಿಕ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ನಿರ್ದೇಶಕ ಡಾ.ಸಿ.ಕೆ.ಕಿಶೋರ್‌ ಕುಮಾರ್‌ ಮಾತನಾಡಿ ಕ್ರೀಡೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ “ ಸಮೂಹ ಪಾಲ್ಗೊಳ್ಳುವಿಕೆಗೆ ” ಹೆಚ್ಚಿನ ಒತ್ತು ನೀಡಿ ಈ ಸಂಬಂಧ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಅಗತ್ಯ ಮೂಲಭೂತ ಸೌಕರ್ಯ ಒದಗಿಸಬೇಕು ಎಂದರು.
ನಮ್ಮಲ್ಲಿ ಕ್ರೀಡಾ ಉತ್ತೇಜನಕ್ಕೆ ಮೂಲಭೂತ ಸೌಕರ್ಯಗಳ ಕೊರತೆ ಎದ್ದು ಕಾಣುತ್ತಿದೆ. ಜಿಲ್ಲಾ ಹಾಗೂ ತಾಲ್ಲೂಕು ಕೇಂದ್ರಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಗುಣಮಟ್ಟದ ಕ್ರೀಡಾಂಗಣಗಳ ಕೊರತೆ ಇದೆ. ಕ್ರೀಡಾಕೂಟಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಪಾಲ್ಗೊಳ್ಳುವ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಉಳಿದುಕೊಳ್ಳಲು ಸಮರ್ಪಕ ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥೆಗಳ ಕೊರತೆ ಇದೆ. ಹೀಗಾಗಿ ನಮಗೆ ಚೀನಾ ಮತ್ತು ಯೂರೋಪ್ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರಗಳೊಂದಿಗೆ ಸ್ಪರ್ಧೆ ಮಾಡಲು ಸಾಧ್ಯವಾಗುತ್ತಿಲ್ಲ ಎಂದು ಕಿಶೋರ್‌ ಕುಮಾರ್‌ ಅಭಿಪ್ರಾಯಪಟ್ಟರು.
ಕ್ರೀಡಾ ಚಟುವಟಿಕೆಗಳಿಗೆ ಸಂಬಂಧಿಸಿದಂತೆ ನುರಿತ ಸಂಪನ್ಮೂಲ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿಗಳು ಎರಡು ದಿನಗಳ ಕಾಲ ತಾಂತ್ರಿಕ ಕಾರ್ಯಗಾರ ನಡೆಸಿಕೊಡಲಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಸ್ಪೋಟ್ಸ್ ಮೆಡಿಸಿನ್ ನಲ್ಲಿ ಸಲಹೆಗಾರರಾಗಿ ಸೇವೆ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸುತ್ತಿರುವ ಧಾರವಾಡದ ಡಾ. ಕಿರಣ್ ಕುಲಕರ್ಣಿ ಅವರು ಕೋವಿಡ್ ಕಾಲಘಟ್ಟದಲ್ಲಿ ಸ್ಪೋರ್ಟ್ಸ್ ಮೆಡಿಸಿನ್ ಕುರಿತು ವಿಷಯ ಮಂಡಿಸಿದರು.

World-Class stadium near Kengeri : RGUHS
Bengaluru, March 9: To encourage and promote sports activities among students, the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences has decided to construct world-class stadium at University owned 50 acres of land in Bhimanakoppa village in Kengeri hobli.
Inaugurating two-days’ workshop for Physical education directors of affiliated colleges of Health sciences here on Tuesday, RGUHS VC, Dr. Sachidananda said, University has decided to establish world-class indoor and outdoor stadium at Bhimanakoppa village.
“University has owed 50 acres of land in Bhimanakoppa village, where we have decided to construct training and research center in phase-1 and world class stadium and other sports amenities will be taken up in phase-2,” Mr. Sachindanada said and added that after taking approval from the state government and syndicate members, University will prepare a blueprint on this regard.
RGUHS has promoting sports activities for PG and post graduate students, sports activities have been organized in four regional centers in the state. University has also planned to construct sports training center at Mangaluru. Within one or two years, sports center will be established in Mangaluru, Mr. Sachidananda said.
University has entered an memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Youth Empowerment and Sports department of Karnataka to bring awareness about physical fitness, nutrition and mental health to the students studying in sports hostels across the state, Mr. Sachidananda said.
Sports medicine
University has started sports medicine department in Bengaluru Medical College, same will be extended to other government medical colleges in the state, the Vice Chancellor said. In physiotherapy post-graduation program, University has imparting sports medicine as curriculum, students have shown interest to take up sports medicine in physiotherapy, he added.
Dr. C.K. Kishore Kumar, Physical Education Director, Mangaluru University has stressed for mass participation of the students in sports activities and he requested the authorities concerned to provide necessary infrastructure facilities to the students to involve sports activities.
