Chikkaballapura, July 23, 2021 (www.justkannada.in): Construction works for the proposed ropeway to the world-famous hill station Nandi Hills, at Chikkaballapura, near Bengaluru, will begin soon as informed by Tourism Minister C.P. Yogeshwar.
He addressed a press meet after inspecting the spot at Nandi hills today. “Preparation of the final project report is in the process by the experts’ team. Several meetings have been held in this regard and the project is taking its final shape,” he informed.
“About 3,000 to 5,000 tourists are visiting Nandi hills every day, whereas there is place only for only 6,000 tourists atop the hills. The ropeway is proposed keeping this in mind and it will be implemented soon. There are seven acres of land near the foothills of Nandi and the remaining amount of land should be purchased from private persons,” he added.
The works of the ropeway is being given to a person called Lal, who has 75-80 years of experience in the field. Two-wheeler and car parking, an online ticket booking system and other facilities will be provided.
