Mysuru, May 6, 2022 (www.justkannada.in): “The role of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar in the social, political, and economical changes of our country post and pre-independence is immense,” opined Prof. G. Hemanth Kumar, Vice-Chancellor, University of Mysore.
He inaugurated a national seminar on the topic, “Economical Thoughts of Ambedkar,” organized by the Economics Department, University of Mysore, held at the Manasa Gangotri. “Being born in an untouchable community, Ambedkar is the first person to get higher education and become a scholar in India. He is a creative person the history. His contribution as an economics expert, social science expert, law publisher, education expert, and journalist is huge. He has authored three scholarly books apart from many scholarly articles on economics.”
“Through his movements, he made efforts to solve the physical and economical exploitation of the rural poor. He knew how to give a new social and political approach to the Indian economy. It was his idea to bring equality and remove poverty from our society and ensure that the resources become accessible to all. His thoughts have been implemented in several economical areas today. It is working as a guiding document,” he explained.
