ಅಂಗಾಂಗ ದಾನಕ್ಕೂ ಕೊರೋನಾ ಕರಿನೆರಳು: ಮೃತದೇಹ ಸ್ವೀಕಾರಕ್ಕೆ ಬ್ರೇಕ್.

ಮೈಸೂರು,ಆಗಸ್ಟ್,13,2021(www.justkannada.in):  ಕೊರೋನಾ ಮಹಾಮಾರಿ ಕಾಲಿಟ್ಟ ನಂತರ ಕೊರೋನಾ ತಡೆಗಾಗಿ ಸರ್ಕಾರ ಕಠಿಣ ನಿಯಮ, ಲಾಕ್ ಡೌನ್ ಹೇರಿದ್ದರಿಂದ ಜನರು ಸಂಕಷ್ಟಕ್ಕೆ ಸಿಲುಕಿ  ತೊಂದರೆಗೊಳಗಾಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಈ ಮಧ್ಯೆ ಅಂಗಾಂಗ ದಾನಕ್ಕೂ ಕೊರೊನಾ ಕರಿನೆರಳು ಬಿದ್ದಿದ್ದು, ವೈದ್ಯಕೀಯ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರದ ಸಂಶೋಧನೆಗೆ  ತೀವ್ರ ಹಿನ್ನಡೆಯಾಗಿದೆ.

ಕೋವಿಡ್ ನಿಂದಾಗಿ  ವೈದ್ಯಕೀಯ ಕಾಲೇಜುಗಳು ಅಧ್ಯಯನಕ್ಕೆ ಮೃತದೇಹ ಸ್ವೀಕರಿಸುತ್ತಿಲ್ಲವಾದ್ದರಿಂದ ದೇಹದಾನ ಪ್ರಕ್ರಿಯೆ ಸ್ಥಗಿತಗೊಂಡಿದೆ. ಮೈಸೂರಿನ ಕೆ.ಆರ್.ಆಸ್ಪತ್ರೆ, ಜೆಎಸ್ಎಸ್, ಅಪೊಲೊ ಆಸ್ಪತ್ರೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ದೇಹದಾನ ಪ್ರಕ್ರಿಯೆ ಸ್ಥಗಿತಗೊಂಡಿದ್ದು, ಮೃತ ದೇಹ ಸ್ವೀಕಾರಕ್ಕೆ ಬ್ರೇಕ್ ಬಿದ್ದಿದೆ.

ಕೊರೊನಾ ಮುಗಿದ ನಂತರ ದೇಹದಾನ ಸ್ವೀಕರಿಸಲು ಆಸ್ಪತ್ರೆಗಳ ಆಡಳಿತ ಮಂಡಳಿ ನಿರ್ಧಾರ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದು,  ದೇಹದಾನಕ್ಕೆ ನೋಂದಣಿ ಮಾಡಿಸಿದ್ದರೂ ಸಧ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ ಮೃತದೇಹ ಸ್ವೀಕಾರ ಮಾಡುವುದಿಲ್ಲವೆಂದು ವೈದ್ಯರು ತಿಳಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

ಇನ್ನು ದೇಹದಾನ ಸ್ವೀಕಾರಕ್ಕೆ ಬ್ರೇಕ್ ಬಿದ್ದ ಹಿನ್ನೆಲೆ  ಅನಾಟಮಿ ವಿಧ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳ ಅಧ್ಯಯನಕ್ಕೆ ಮೃತದೇಹಗಳ ಕೊರತೆ ಕಾಣುತ್ತಿದೆ. ಆನ್ ಲೈನ್ ಕ್ಲಾಸ್ ಗಳು ನಡೆಯುತ್ತಿರುವುದರಿಂದ ಮೃತದೇಹಗಳ ಕೊರತೆ ಕಾಡುತ್ತಿಲ್ಲ. ವೈದ್ಯಕೀಯ ಕ್ರೇತ್ರದ ಸಂಶೋಧನೆಗಾಗಿ ಒಂದು ವರ್ಷಕ್ಕೆ ಬೇಕಾಗುವಷ್ಟು ಮೃತದೇಹಗಳು ಇವೆ ಎಂದು ವೈದ್ಯರು ತಿಳಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

ಅದ್ದರಿಂದ ಆಸ್ಪತ್ರೆ ಜೊತೆ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದ ಒಪ್ಪಂದದಂತೆ ಕುಟುಂಬದವರು ದೇಹದಾನಕ್ಕೆ ಮುಂದಾದರೂ ಸ್ವೀಕರಿಸಲು ಸಾಧ್ಯವಿಲ್ಲ. ಅಂತಹವರಿಗೆ ಮನವೊಲಿಸಲಾಗುವುದು. ಜೊತೆಗೆ ಅಂಗಾಂಗ ದಾನ ಪ್ರಕ್ರಿಯೆಯೂ ಸ್ಥಗಿತಗೊಳಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ. ದೇಹದಾನ ನೋಂದಣಿ ಕಾರ್ಯ ಮುಂದುವರೆಯುತ್ತದೆ ಆದರೆ ಸ್ವೀಕಾರ ಇರುವುದಿಲ್ಲ ಎಂದು ವೈದ್ಯರು ತಿಳಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

ಅಂಗಾಂಗ ದಾನ ಪ್ರಕ್ರಿಯೆ ಸ್ಥಗಿತಗೊಂಡ ಹಿನ್ನಲೆ, ಅಂಗಾಂಗ ಕೊರತೆ ಉಂಟಾಗಿದ್ದು ಅನಾರೋಗ್ಯ ಪೀಡಿತರ ಸಮಸ್ಯೆ ಮತ್ತಷ್ಟು ಉಲ್ಬಣವಾಗಲಿದೆ.

COVID-19 becomes hurdle for organ donation too: Brakes to receive dead bodies
Mysuru, August 13, 2021 (www.justkannada.in): Following the imposition of tough rules and lockdown by the government as a measure to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 Pandemic, many people had to face a lot of troubles. Not only this, the pandemic has also become a hurdle in donating organs, posing a challenge to the medical world.
The hospitals are not receiving dead bodies due to the COVID-19 Pandemic. In Mysuru, the K.R. Hospital, JSS, Apollo hospitals have stopped receiving dead bodies for organ transplantation.
However, the hospitals’ managements have informed that it would start receiving the bodies again once the COVID-19 Pandemic ends. Until then bodies will not be received even if they are registered.
In the meantime, Anatomy students are facing a shortage of bodies that are required for their studies. However, due to online classes, many of them are not facing the problem. Doctors have informed that they have bodies that are enough for one year, to conduct research works.
