Mysuru, Sept. 4, 2021 (www.justkannada.in): About 2 kilos of gold ornaments were stolen in the recent dacoity, and shootout incident that occurred in the cultural capital of the state Mysuru.
It is learnt that a 60-year-old person has a major role in the team of dacoits who looted a jewellery shop in Mysuru recently. He is said to be the main accused. However, he is still absconding, and the police are still hunting for him. It is also said he is in possession of more than 1 kilo of ornaments out of the total loot.
He is said to be indulged in stealing since he was 20 years old and is an expert in looting ornaments. He is called ‘Bombay Budda’. The Mysuru Police have gone to Mumbai to hunt him.
It can be recalled here that a team of dacoits had robbed the Amruth Gold and Silver Palace in Vidyaranyapuram in Mysuru on August 23. A shootout had also taken place in that incident. The robbers had shot a person named Dadadahalli Chandru during the loot, injuring him grievously. Later the victim lost his life. A case has been registered at the Vidyaranyapuram Police Station.
