Bengaluru, Jan. 18, 2021 (www.justkannada.in): Condemning the statement of Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray on the Belagavi border dispute, Deputy Chief Minister Dr. C.N. Ashwathnarayan asked the Congress party to withdraw the support given to the Maharashtra government that is causing harm to the unity and integrity of the country.
He inaugurated the COVID vaccination campaign on Monday held at the Primary Health Care Center in Gandhigram, Malleswaram, Bengaluru. Speaking to the press persons, he said, “being in a responsible post, Uddhav Thackeray should not give such irresponsible statements, how can we accept it? The Karnataka and Maharashtra border row is a closed chapter,” he said.
He welcomed former CM Siddaramaiah for condemning Uddhav Thackeray’s statement, and also asked the Congress leaders to pressurize their high command to withdraw the support given to Uddhav Thackeray’s government in Maharashtra and prove their commitment to the people of Karnataka.
