Kalaburagi, January 4, 2022 (www.justkannada.in): “The number of Omicron cases in the state is increasing there is a meeting today to know about the situation, where we will decide whether to impose lockdown or semi-lockdown,” said Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai.
Speaking to the press persons at Kalaburagi today, he informed that the people should cooperate with the government by strictly following COVID-appropriate behavior. “The pandemic can be controlled only if people cooperate. However, we will decide after discussing it with the experts. However, we have made all arrangements concerning medicine, treatment, etc.,” he said.
In his reply on the closing of schools and colleges, the Chief Minister said the government would decide after availing expert advice. However, he also informed that tough rules would be initiated. “High alert has been taken in the State, police security and strict vigil has been taken in the border areas,” he added.
