ಮೈಸೂರು,ಆಗಸ್ಟ್,2,2021(www.justkannada.in): ಕೋವಿಡ್ ಕಾರಣದಿಂದ 2021 ವರ್ಷವೂ ಡಿಜಿಟಲ್ ಮಾಧ್ಯಮವಾಗಿ ಪರಿವರ್ತನೆಗೊಂಡಿತು. ಸಾಂಪ್ರಾದಾಯಿಕ ಮಾದರಿ ಬಿಟ್ಟು ಅಧ್ಯಾಪಕರು ಡಿಜಿಟಲ್ ಮಾದರಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಮಕ್ಕಳಿಗೆ ಪಾಠ ಮಾಡಿದರು ಎಂದು ಮೈಸೂರು ವಿವಿ ಕುಲಪತಿ ಪ್ರೊ. ಜಿ.ಹೇಮಂತ್ ಕುಮಾರ್ ತಿಳಿಸಿದರು.
ಮೈಸೂರು ವಿಶ್ವವಿದ್ಯಾಲಯದ ವತಿಯಿಂದ ಮಾನಸ ಗಂಗೋತ್ರಿಯ ಸೆಂಟರ್ ಫಾರ್ ಇನ್ಫರ್ಮೇಶನ್ ಅಂಡ್ ಸೈನ್ಸ್ ಟೆಕ್ನಾಲಜಿ (ಸಿಸ್ಟ್) ವಿಭಾಗದಲ್ಲಿ ಸೋಮವಾರ ‘ಭವಿಷ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಡಿಜಿಟಲ್ ಮಾಧ್ಯಮದ ಸಾಮರ್ಥ್ಯ’ ಎಂಬ ವಿಷಯದ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ನಡೆದ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ವಿಚಾರ ಸಂಕಿರಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಅವರು ಮಾತನಾಡಿದರು.
ಲಾಕ್‌ ಡೌನ್ ಕಾರಣದಿಂದ ಕಾಲೇಜುಗಳು ತೆರೆಯಲು ಸಾಧ್ಯವಾಗಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಆದರೆ, ನಮ್ಮ ಅಧ್ಯಾಪಕರು ಬೋರ್ಡ್, ಪೇಪರ್, ಪೆನ್ ಬಿಟ್ಟು ತ್ವರಿತವಾಗಿ ಆನ್‌ಲೈನ್‌ ನ ಮೂಲಕ ಪಾಠ ಮಾಡುವಲ್ಲಿ ಸಫಲರಾದರು. ಡಿಜಿಟಲ್ ಪೇಪರ್, ಟ್ಯಾಬ್ಲೆಟ್, ಡ್ಯಾಶ್ ಬೋರ್ಡ್ ಮೂಲಕ ಕಲಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ಮುಂದುವರಿಸಿದರು. ಸಾಂಪ್ರಾದಾಯಿಕ ಬೋಧನಾ ವಿಧಾನ ಬಿಟ್ಟು ಹೊಸ ಮಾದರಿಯ ಡಿಜಿಟಲ್ ಮೀಡಿಯಾಗೆ ಬದಲಾದರು ಎಂದು ಸಂತಸ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಪಡಿಸಿದರು.
ಡಿಜಿಟಲ್ ಮೀಡಿಯಾದಲ್ಲಿ ಇರುವ ಕೌಶಲ್ಯ, ವಿಧಾನವನ್ನು ಕಲಿಯಲು ಈ ವೆಬಿನಾರ್ ಸಹಕಾರಿಯಾಗಲಿದ್ದು, ಹೊಸ ಜ್ಞಾನ ಪಡೆಯಲು ಪ್ರಾಧ್ಯಾಪಕರಿಗೆ ನೆರವಾಗುವುದರಲ್ಲಿ ಎರಡು ಮಾತಿಲ್ಲ ಸಂಪನ್ಮೂಲ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿಗಳು ಸಾಕಷ್ಟು ತಾಂತ್ರಿಕ ಮಾಹಿತಿಯನ್ನು ನೀಡಿದ್ದು, ಅರ್ಥಪೂರ್ಣವಾಗಿ ವೆಬಿನಾರ್ ಮೂಡಿ ಬಂದಿದೆ ಎಂದರು.
ಟೆಕ್ನಿಕಲ್ ಇಂಡಿಯಾದ ಕಂಟ್ರಿ ಹೆಡ್ ಬಿರೇನ್ ಘೋಷ್ ಮಾತನಾಡಿದರು. ಸಿಸ್ಟ್ ನ ಮಾಜಿ ನಿರ್ದೇಶಕರಾದ ಪ್ರೊ.ಬಾಲಸುಬ್ರಮಣ್ಯನ್ ಎ. ಸಂಚಾಲಕರಾದ ಡಾ.ಪಂಕಜ ಎನ್., ಪ್ರೊ.ಚಂದ್ರಶೇಖರ್ ಎಂ. ಕೋರ್ಸ್ ಸಂಯೋಜನಾಧೀಕಾರಿ ಹಂಸವಾಣಿ ಎಲ್ ಸೇರಿದಂತೆ ಇತರರು ಹಾಜರಿದ್ದರು.

Demand for digital media has increased due to COVID: UoM VC
Mysuru, August 2, 2021 (www.justkannada.in): “The year 2021 also has turned towards digital technology due to the COVID-19 Pandemic. Teachers had to adopt digital teaching methods instead of offline classes,” opined Prof. G. Hemanth Kumar, Vice-Chancellor, University of Mysore.
He participated in the national webinar on the topic, “Capacity of Digital Media in future,” organized by the Center for Information and Science Technology (CIST), University of Mysore.
“Colleges couldn’t be opened due to lockdown. But our lecturers were successful in conducting the classes by adopting technology in place of board, paper and pen. They adopted to the digital technology very soon and easily,” he opined.
Further he said that the webinar would be helpful in improvising the skills and methods of digital technology and develop new knowledge. “The Resource persons have provided lot of technical knowledge through this webinar,” he explained.
Biren, Country Head, Techni Colour India spoke on the occasion. Prof. Balasubranian A., former Director, CIST, Dr. Pankaja N., Convenor, Prof. Chandrashekar M., Course Coordinator, Hamsaveni L, and others participated.
