Mysuru, November 10, 2022 (www.justkannada.in): “The Digilocker can provide solution to the delays that happen from various institutions, universities and at the government level,” opined Prof. R. Shivappa, Registrar, University of Mysore.
He participated in the one-day training program on ‘Digilocker-National Academic Depository (NAD)’ held at the Vignana Bhavana, in the Manasa Gangotri campus. “Students may require some certificate at some point of time. They will have to submit them on time during recruitments. But, usually nobody will have easy access for it. The Digilocker will provide proper solution to such problems. The students can easily access all their documents. For that reason we have to thank the technology,” he said.
“Today several facilities are being provided through E-Governance, E-Governor. Former Chief Minister Ramakrishna Hegde had implemented several programs when he was in power in order to ensure that the benefits of the various government programs reaches to the doorstep of the beneficiaries. Hence, first we have to understand any policy. Any work should be beneficial for the people and reach them without delay, transparently.”
“Today the Digilocker is easily accessible to everyone. All the important documents can be stored in it. It is very safe. The University of Mysore is in the 3rd place in its usage. The University will give all cooperation to jump to the first place. Already 12 lakh documents have been uploaded, including 3 lakh UG and 9 lakh UG documents. Our University is always ready to provide facilities as required to the people. Let us all adopt to the changing times and work accordingly,” he observed
Prof. G. Hemanth Kumar, Vice-Chancellor, University of Mysore, CDC Director Prof. Loknath, Project Manager P.N. Kartik, Prof. Ramesh Kumar and others were present.
