Bengaluru, October 29, 2021 (www.justkannada.in): Several dignitaries including former Prime Minister H.D. Devegwoda have expressed their grief over the untimely demise of popular Kannada cine actor, power star Puneeth Rajkumar.
Puneeth Rajkumar suffered a massive heart attack and was admitted to the Vikram Hospital in Bengaluru where he passed away. The entire Sandalwood industry was in deep grief following his demise.
Former PM H.D. Devegowda in his message has said that he is shocked over the news of the death of ‘Yuvarathna Puneeth Rajkumar’. “I had watched his two movies ‘Prithvi’ and ‘Rajakumara, along with him. It is indeed unbelievable to know that he is not more. The entire state has suffered a huge loss due to his death. May his soul rest in peace,” he said.
In his tweet, former Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has mentioned, “I am indeed shocked over the sudden demise of young film star Puneeth Rajkumar. I share a very close relationship with his family from Dr. Rajkumar’s days. For me his death makes me feel like I have lost one of my family members.”
KPCC President D.K. Shivakumar has said, “Puneeth was my neighbor, and I just can’t digest to know that he is no more. Fate is so cruel for snatching him away from his at just a young age. It is not just a loss to the film industry but for the entire state. I pray god humbly to provide the strength to bear this shock not only for his family members for crores of his fans.”
Cooperation Minister S.T. Somashekar in his message has mentioned that Puneeth was one of the versatile actors. “It is a huge shock for me to know that he is no more. Not only for the Sandalwood industry, but this is also a great loss for the entire Indian film industry and a black day for Karnataka. He always used to support and lend his voice whenever it comes to the Kannada language, land, and water. I pray to god to give the strength to bear his loss.”
