Mysuru, March 22, 2022 (www.justkannada.in): “My father, Dr. Rajkumar was 47 years old when he received the honorary doctorate from the University of Mysore. Now Puneeth has received the honorary doctorate. He would also have turned 47 if he were alive this year,” said Puneeth’s elder sibling Raghavendra Rajkumar.
He turned emotional while participating in the University of Mysore Convocation held at the Crawford hall today. “As even thread reaches heaven along with flowers offered to the god, we also have been blessed through my younger brother. The University of Mysore is like the abode of goddess Saraswathi. I am a very small person here. The University of Mysore has increased our responsibility by conferring the doctorate on Puneeth posthumously. My family will try to provide justice to this,” he said.
“Life is like a cycle. Our father Dr. Rajkumar, was conferred with an honorary doctorate by the same university. He was 47 years old then, Puneeth was just nine months old. Now the University of Mysore has conferred a doctorate on Puneeth. He is also 47 now,” he concluded.
