Mysuru, September 2, 2021 (www.justkannada.in): Chamarajanagara MP V. Srinivasa Prasad requested not to limit Dalit poet and litterateur Dr. Siddalingaiah only for a statue. He said his works and thoughts should be spread by organizing programs.
He participated in a program organized by the Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Research and Extension Center, University of Mysore, held at the Vishwagnani Auditorium.
In his address he said, though Dr. Siddalingaiah is not physically with us today, he will always remain in our minds and souls. “If we adopt his thoughts and follow the principles of his life that were full of struggles our tributes to him will be meaningful. His thoughts cannot be adopted just by installing his statue. Let us all install his statue at Bangalore University. A foundation should also be established in his name, through which social activities should be spread,” he said.
Litterateur Prof. Kalegowda Nagawara, Prof. G. Hemanth Kumar, Vice-Chancellor, University of Mysore, Dr. Manasa Siddalingaiah, Rangayana former Director Janardhan (Janni), and others were present.
