Mysur, Dec. 4, 2020 (www.justkannada.in): “Despite having an education, enjoying power, and earning money I am still unable to come out of the caste tag. If there was a provision to be born in an upper-caste I would have applied for it,” opine former Chief Minister Siddaramaiah.
Speaking at a programme held at the Vignana Bhavana in Manasagangotri on Friday on the occasion of Kanakadasa Jayanthi he observed that he was born in a caste to which his parents belonged to. “We will continue to be in the same caste. Nobody takes birth on this earth by applying to be born in a specific caste,” he said sarcastically.
He called upon the young literates to shed caste and religion and give preference to humanity.
