Chamarajanagara, Apr.5, 2021 (www.justkannada.in): Entry of visitors to the Malai Mahadeshwara Hills has been prohibited from April 10 to 13, following an increase in number of COVID-19 Pandemic cases in the State.
It is also decided to celebrate the Ugadi festival in a simple way, at the Hills. The Ugadi festival jatra mahotsav was scheduled to be held from April 10 to 13. Entry of visitors has been restricted on all three days due to the 2nd wave of the pandemic.
Only residents atop the hills and employees of the temple and officials will be allowed, as per orders issued by the Deputy Commissioner of Chamarajanagara.
