Mysuru, July 6, 2021 (www.justkannada.in): Deputy Commissioner of Mysuru Dr. Bagadi Goutham has issued orders restricting the entry of devotees to the Chamundi hills in Mysuru during the auspicious Ashada Friday, fearing increase in the number Coronavirus cases.
The number of devotees who visit the Chamundi temple atop the Chamundi hills during the auspicious month of Ashada will always be more than usual. As the fear of COVID-19 Pandemic has still not completely wiped out, entry of devotees to the Chamundi hills and the Jwala Tripurasundari Temple at Uttanahalli has been restricted as a precautionary measure.
Hence, there will be no entry for the devotees on all four Ashada Friday’s and two Amavasya days. Also, restrictions have been imposed on Saturday and Sunday during the Ashada month and government holidays. Entry to the temple is also restricted from today after 6.00 pm. Entry to the Chamundi hill for devotees will be restricted on all the following days:
