Bengaluru, August 12, 2021 (www.justkannada.in): Fear of COVID-19 Pandemic 3rd wave is slowly gripping the country forcing the State Government to impose weekend curfew in the border districts. As auspicious Shravaana month has commenced the festival season has arrived. As a result, the State Government has restricted entry of devotees to the temples in Bengaluru during weekends and holidays.
This decision has been taken to avoid crowd according to Bengaluru City Deputy Commissioner J. Manjunath. As a result of this complete brakes have been applied for the Shravanamaasa weekend puja programs. Entry of devotees will be restricted during Saturdays and Sundays. However, the daily puja and other rituals will continue.
“There are all possibilities that the COVID-19 Pandemic could spread especially during this festival season, as people will crowd in public places including temples. Hence, citizens should avoid visiting temples. Strict action will be taken in cases of violation of rules,” informed, BBMP Chief Commissioner Gourav Gupta.
