Bengaluru, Feb. 8, 2021 (www.justkannada.in): The Indian Institute of Horticulture Research (IIHR), located in Hesaraghatta, on the outskirts of Bengaluru is engaged in developing different varieties and technologies for the last five decades. Like every year, the institute has organised a National Horticulture Mela from February 8 to 12 at its premises.
The theme of the mela this year is ‘Horticulture for Start-up and Stand up India.’ The five-day mela provides several opportunities to the horticulturists to transform as entrepreneurs, according to M.R. Dinesh, Director, IIHR.
Providing details about the mela in a press meet held today, he explained that the seed production including different varieties researched by IIHR, Bengaluru possess anti-disease properties and value-based products, and easy to adopt technologies, mechanisms, and implements will be exhibited in the mela.
