ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು, ಜೂನ್ 14,2021(www.justkannada.in): ರೋಗ ಬಾರದಂತೆ ತಡೆಯುವ ಆಯುರ್ವೇದ ವೈದ್ಯ ಪದ್ಧತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಸಂಶೋಧನೆಗಳನ್ನು ನಡೆಸಬೇಕು ಎಂದು ಆರೋಗ್ಯ ಮತ್ತು ವೈದ್ಯಕೀಯ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ಸಚಿವ ಡಾ.ಕೆ.ಸುಧಾಕರ್ ಸಲಹೆ ನೀಡಿದರು.
ರಾಜೀವ್ ಗಾಂಧಿ ಆರೋಗ್ಯ ವಿಜ್ಞಾನಗಳ ವಿಶ್ವವಿದ್ಯಾಲಯದ ರಜತ ಮಹೋತ್ಸವದ ಸಮಾರೋಪ ಸಮಾರಂಭದಲ್ಲಿ ಮಾತನಾಡಿದ ಆರೋಗ್ಯ ಸಚಿವ ಡಾ.ಕೆ.ಸುಧಾಕರ್, ಅಲೋಪತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸಂಶೋಧನೆಗಳನ್ನು ಮಾಡುವಂತೆ ಆಯುರ್ವೇದದಲ್ಲೂ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಸಂಶೋಧನೆಗಳು ನಡೆಯಬೇಕು. ಎಷ್ಟೇ ನಂಬಿಕೆ ಇದ್ದರೂ ಅದನ್ನು ಸಾಕ್ಷಿ ಸಮೇತ ನಿರೂಪಿಸಬೇಕು. ಸಂಶೋಧನೆ ಮತ್ತು ಆವಿಷ್ಕಾರವನ್ನು ಹೆಚ್ಚಾಗಿ ಮಾಡಬೇಕು. ಪ್ರತಿ ಮೆಡಿಕಲ್ ಕಾಲೇಜುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಕೂಡ ಸಂಶೋಧನೆಗಳನ್ನು ಹೆಚ್ಚಿಸಬೇಕಿದೆ. ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಗಳನ್ನು ಅಂತಾರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ಮಟ್ಟದಲ್ಲಿ ಬೆಳೆಸಲು ಸಂಶೋಧನೆ ಅಗತ್ಯ ಎಂದರು.
ಆಕ್ಸಫರ್ಡ್ ವಿಶ್ವವಿದ್ಯಾಲಯ ಕೋವಿಡ್ ಲಸಿಕೆ ತಯಾರಿಸಿದೆ. ಅದೇ ರೀತಿ, ರಾಜೀವ್ ಗಾಂಧಿ ವಿವಿ ಕೂಡ ಯಾವುದೇ ರೋಗಗಳಿಗೆ ಪರಿಹಾರ ಕಂಡುಹಿಡಿಯುವಂತೆ ಸಂಶೋಧನೆ ನಡೆಯಬೇಕು. ಎನ್‍ಸಿಡಿ ಸಮಸ್ಯೆಯಿಂದಾಗಿ ಬಡ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ವಾರ್ಷಿಕ 28 ದಶಲಕ್ಷ ಜನರು ಮೃತರಾಗುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಭಾರತದಲ್ಲಿ ಕೂಡ ಈ ಸಮಸ್ಯೆ ಹೆಚ್ಚಿದೆ. ಈ ರೋಗಗಳಿಗೆ ಆಯುರ್ವೇದ ಪದ್ಧತಿ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಪರಿಹಾರ ನೀಡುತ್ತದೆ ಎಂದರು.
ರಾಜ್ಯಪಾಲರೊಂದಿಗೆ ಚರ್ಚೆ
ರಾಜೀವ್ ಗಾಂಧಿ ಆರೋಗ್ಯ ವಿಜ್ಞಾನಗಳ ವಿಶ್ವವಿದ್ಯಾಲಯದ ಕುಲಪತಿ ನೇಮಕಕ್ಕೆ ಸಂಬಂಧಿಸಿದಂತೆ ಚರ್ಚಿಸಬೇಕಾಗಿತ್ತು. ಆದರೆ ಕೋವಿಡ್ ನಿಂದಾಗಿ ರಾಜ್ಯಪಾಲರು ಚರ್ಚೆ ನಡೆಸಲು ಆಗಿಲ್ಲ. ಈ ಕುರಿತು ರಾಜ್ಯಪಾಲರಿಗೆ ಪತ್ರ ಬರೆದಿದ್ದೇನೆ. ರಾಜ್ಯಪಾಲರ ಭೇಟಿಗೆ ಸಮಯ ಕೇಳಿ ನಂತರ ಚರ್ಚೆ ಮಾಡುತ್ತೇನೆ. ಮುಖ್ಯಮಂತ್ರಿಗಳೊಂದಿಗೆ ಈ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಚರ್ಚಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಅವರು ಕೆಲವು ವಿಷಯಗಳನ್ನು ಹೇಳಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಆ ವಿಷಯಗಳನ್ನು ರಾಜ್ಯಪಾಲರ ಗಮನಕ್ಕೆ ತರಲಾಗುವುದು ಎಂದು ಸಚಿವ ಸುಧಾಕರ್ ತಿಳಿಸಿದರು.
ಶುದ್ಧ ಚಾರಿತ್ರ್ಯವಿರುವವರು ಕುಲಪತಿಯಾಗಲು ಸಾಧ್ಯ
ರಾಜೀವ್ ಗಾಂಧಿ ಆರೋಗ್ಯ ವಿಜ್ಞಾನಗಳ ವಿಶ್ವವಿದ್ಯಾಲಯದ ಕುಲಪತಿ ಸ್ಥಾನ ತುಂಬುವ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಚರ್ಚಿಸಲಾಗುವುದು. ಈ ಸ್ಥಾನಕ್ಕೆ ಯಾವ ರೀತಿಯ ಸಂಸ್ಕಾರ, ಯಾವ ರೀತಿಯ ಶೈಕ್ಷಣಿಕ ಅರ್ಹತೆ ಇರುವ ಉತ್ತಮರನ್ನು ತರಬೇಕೆಂಬ ವಿಚಾರದಲ್ಲಿ ರಾಜ್ಯ ಸರ್ಕಾರಕ್ಕೆ ಸ್ಪಷ್ಟತೆ ಇದೆ. ಆ ನಿಟ್ಟಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಸ್ಥಾನ ತುಂಬಬೇಕೆಂಬುದನ್ನು ರಾಜ್ಯಪಾಲರ ಗಮನಕ್ಕೆ ತರಲಾಗುವುದು. ಅನುಮಾನಕ್ಕೂ ಅವಕಾಶವಿಲ್ಲದ ಶುದ್ಧ ಚಾರಿತ್ರ್ಯವಿರುವ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿ ಮಾತ್ರ ಕುಲಪತಿಯಾಗಲು ಯೋಗ್ಯವೇ ಹೊರತು ಯಾವುದೇ ಅಪವಾದ ಹೊತ್ತುಕೊಂಡವರು ಕುಲಪತಿ ಕುರ್ಚಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕೂರಲು ಸಾಧ್ಯವಿಲ್ಲ. ಕನಿಷ್ಠಪಕ್ಷ ನಾನು ಸಚಿವನಾಗಿರುವವರೆಗೂ ಅದು ಸಾಧ್ಯವಿಲ್ಲ ಎಂದು ಸಚಿವ ಸುಧಾಕರ್ ಸ್ಪಷ್ಟಪಡಿಸಿದರು.
ರೈಲ್ವೆ ನಿಲ್ದಾಣ, ವಿಮಾನ ನಿಲ್ದಾಣ, ಬಸ್ ನಿಲ್ದಾಣ ಸೇರಿದಂತೆ ವಿವಿಧೆಡೆ ರಾಂಡಮ್ ಪರೀಕ್ಷೆ ಮಾಡಬೇಕೆಂದು ಸೂಚಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಅನ್ ಲಾಕ್ ಹಂತದಲ್ಲೇ ಬಹಳಷ್ಟು ಜನರು ಹೊರಗೆ ಓಡಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಜನರು ಮುನ್ನೆಚ್ಚರಿಕೆ ಕ್ರಮಗಳನ್ನು ಅನುಸರಿಸಬೇಕು. ಮಾಲ್, ಥಿಯೇಟರ್, ಹೋಟೆಲ್ ಎಲ್ಲವನ್ನೂ ತೆರೆಯಲು ಅವಕಾಶ ನೀಡಿಲ್ಲ. ಆದರೂ ಕೈಗಾರಿಕೆಗೆ ಅವಕಾಶ ನೀಡಿರುವುದರಿಂದ ಜನರು ಹೊರಗೆ ಓಡಾಡುತ್ತಿರಬಹುದು. ಇದಕ್ಕೆ ಪೂರಕವಾಗಿ ಪರೀಕ್ಷೆ ಸಂಖ್ಯೆಯನ್ನೂ ಹೆಚ್ಚಿಸಲಾಗುವುದು ಎಂದರು.
2 ಲಕ್ಷ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ವ್ಯಾಸಂಗ ಮಾಡುವ, 25 ವರ್ಷ ಹಳೆಯ ವಿಶ್ವವಿದ್ಯಾಲಯದ ಭಾರತದ ಅತಿ ದೊಡ್ಡ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯಾಗಿದೆ. ರಾಜ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಕೋವಿಡ್ ನಿಂದ 25 ಲಕ್ಷಕ್ಕೂ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಜನರು ಗುಣಮುಖರಾಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ. 1.70 ಕೋಟಿ ಕೋವಿಡ್ ಲಸಿಕೆ ನೀಡಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಡಿಸೆಂಬರ್ ಅಂತ್ಯದ ವೇಳೆಗೆ ಎಲ್ಲರಿಗೂ ಲಸಿಕೆ ನೀಡಲಾಗಿರುತ್ತದೆ ಎಂದು ಸಚಿವ ಸುಧಾಕರ್ ತಿಳಿಸಿದರು.
ಕೋವಿಡ್ ಮೂರನೇ ಅಲೆಗೆ ಸಿದ್ಧತೆಯಾಗಿ ಜಿಲ್ಲಾಸ್ಪತ್ರೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಮಕ್ಕಳ ವಿಭಾಗ ಬಲಪಡಿಸಲಾಗುತ್ತಿದೆ. 1,763 ವೈದ್ಯರು, ವೈದ್ಯಾಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳನ್ನು ಐತಿಹಾಸಿಕದಂತೆ ಅತಿ ಕಡಿಮೆ ಅವಧಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ನೇಮಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ. ವೈದ್ಯ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳ ಸಂಖ್ಯೆ ಹೆಚ್ಚಾದರೂ ಗ್ರಾಮೀಣ ಪ್ರದೇಶಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ವೈದ್ಯರ ಲಭ್ಯತೆ ಕಡಿಮೆ. ವೈದ್ಯರು ನಗರಗಳಲ್ಲೇ ಆಯ್ಕೆ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಹೆಚ್ಚಿನ ವೈದ್ಯರು ಹಳ್ಳಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಕೆಲಸ ಮಾಡುವ ಛಲ ಹೊಂದಬೇಕು ಎಂದು ಸಚಿವ ಸುಧಾಕರ್ ತಿಳಿಸಿದರು.

Bengaluru – Jun 14, 2021; More research should be undertaken in Ayurveda to prevent outbreak of diseases, says Health & Medical Education Minister Dr.K.Sudhakar.
Speaking on the occasion of valedictory ceremony of silver jubilee celebrations of RGUHS here on Monday the Minister said, like Allopathy, more research is needed in Ayurveda also so that we have empirical evidence. Every medical college should focus more on research work. It is necessary to develop the university into a world class university, he said.
Oxford University has developed Covid-19 vaccine. Similarly, RGUHS should also be able to provide solutions to any kind of diseases. More than 28 lakh people are losing their lives annually in poor countries due to NCD. India is also facing this issue to a great extant. Ayurveda can provide better solution for these kind of lifestyle diseases where prevention is the best solution, said the Minister.
Discussion with Governor
Regarding the appointment of Vice Chancellor the Minister said that the matter would have been discussed with the Hon’ble Governor, but due to Covid it could not be done. I have written to the hon’ble governor regarding this. Will discuss this issue in personal after getting his appointment said Dr.Sudhakar. the matter is discussed with the Chief Minister and the suggestions given by CM will also be brought to the notice of Hon’ble governor, he added.
Won’t let appointment of any undeserving candidate as VC
RGUHS is India’s largest and prestigious health sciences university. Our government is very clear that a person with eminence, excellent reputation and track record should be appointed as VC of this university. Any person leading such an university should have a credibility that is behind doubt. No person with poor track record or allegations can occupy that chair, atleast as long as I am the minister, Dr.Sudhakar said.
Instructions have been passed to conduct random tests at Airports, railway stations and Bus stands. People should adhere to the guidelines. Permission is not given for malls, cinema theatres to open. We will increase the testing as industries are permitted to operate with more number of people, said the Minister.

• 25 year old RGUHS is the largest Health University in the country with over 2 lakh students.
• More than 25 lakh people have recovered from Covid in the state. 1.70 crore doses of vaccine have been administered so far. Everyone will be vaccinated by this December end.
• We are strengthening the pediatric department in all district hospitals to tackle third wave. 1,763 medical officers have been recruited in record time.
• Rural area facing shortage of doctors though there is a surge in number of medical students. Because doctors opt for urban area only. More doctors should come forward to serve in rural area.
