Bengaluru, December 14, 2021 (www.justkannada.in): The results of the election held for the 25 legislative council seats have been announced. The JDS has won only one seat. Former Chief Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy has given the following reason for JDS candidates’ failure.
In his tweet, the former CM stated, “It is sad to see that the people’s strength has taken a setback in the fight between money and muscle power. The JDS has failed amidst the money power of the national parties. However, we have given a fight on moral grounds.”
“Earlier also I have mentioned that our target is the 2023 assembly elections, which I repeat even now. We are getting prepared for that. Even though we have made our efforts in these elections to win, but have failed in front of the money power of national parties. Representatives of the local bodies were the voters in this election. But people are the decision-makers in the assembly elections, where you will come to know about the strength of our party. I am sure that our party will bounce back. Nobody can wipe out the confidence that exists in the hearts of the people on JDS,” his tweet read.
