Mysuru, Mar. 26, 2021 (www.justkannada.in): “We should think about the future based on the past and present situations. The struggles of a few persons are like that of Ekalvya. However, a majority of the people require suggestions and guidance concerning their future,” opined Prof. G. Hemanth Kumar, Vice-Chancellor, University of Mysore.
He was speaking at a workshop on the topic “Way forward”, organized by the Prajavani and the University of Mysore, held at the Senate Bhavan, in Manasagangotri today.
In his address, he said, “Today parents are educated and they will provide good education to their children. All the parents try to provide a good future to their wards. Along with getting an education, the students should be aware of future job requirements. Today along with good education, it is very important to possess skills. In this context, the University of Mysore is running several programs keeping in mind the future of the students.”
He called upon the students not to lose hope if they fail in achieving their goals once or twice and asked them to think positively and be confident.
Prof. R. Shivappa, Register, University of Mysore expressed his view that today there is a need of creating awareness among the youth about their future, amidst all the present economical and health conditions that are happening in the country.
Educationist Gururaj Karjagi inaugurated the program. “Education is like a journey. Those who have a clear aim and thought about their future only can reach their goal, otherwise, they may have to face lot of problems,” he said.
Sri Ravindra Bhat, Executive Editor, Prajavani, Y. Veerabhadra, Proprietor, Mysuru Tarupaulins, Dr. S.R. Ravi, of Navodaya Foundation were present on the occasion.
