Hubballi, October 24, 2022 (www.justkannada.in): “A gazette notification on increasing the reservation for SC/STs has been issued. It will be tabled in the cabinet and discussed,” observed Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai.
Speaking at Hubballi today, he informed that the gazette notification has been issued. “We will present the bill in both the houses and discussed in detail in the cabinet. After that it will be passed in the cabinet,” he explained.
In his reply over the demand for reservation to Panchamasali community under 2A, the Chief Minister informed that this issue is under discussion under various Commissions, and the government would take measures after receiving the report.
Responding to a question on the demand by several MLAs regarding withdrawal of reservation for the minorities, Basavaraj Bommai informed that he would not like to say anything. “It is only the personal opinion of those MLAs who said it. A discussion will be held as per the constitution about reservation for minorities,” he informed.
