ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು,ಏಪ್ರಿಲ್,09,2021(www.justkannada.in) : ಸರಕಾರಿ ಪದವಿ ಕಾಲೇಜೊಂದನ್ನು ದತ್ತು ಸ್ವೀಕರಿಸಿ ಗುಣಮಟ್ಟದ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ನೀಡುವ ಸರಕಾರ ಪ್ರಯತ್ನಕ್ಕೆ ಬೆಂಬಲ ನೀಡಬೇಕು ಎಂದು ಉಪ ಮುಖ್ಯಮಂತ್ರಿ ಡಾ.ಸಿ.ಎನ್.ಅಶ್ವತ್ಥನಾರಾಯಣ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡ ಮನವಿಗೆ ನಗರದ ಜ್ಯೋತಿ ನಿವಾಸ್‌ ಕಾಲೇಜ್ ತಕ್ಷಣವೇ ಸಕಾರಾತ್ಮಕವಾಗಿ ಸ್ಪಂದಿಸಿದೆ.
ಬೆಂಗಳೂರಿನ ಜ್ಯೋತಿ ನಿವಾಸ್‌ ಕಾಲೇಜ್‌ನಲ್ಲಿ ಗುರುವಾರದಂದು ಕಾಲೇಜಿನ ಪ್ರಾಂಶುಪಾಲೆ ಡಾ.ಎಲಿಜೆಬೆತ್‌ ಅವರು ಬರೆದಿರುವ ʼಎಕೋಸ್ ಅವರ್‌ ಟೈಮ್ಸ್‌, ಅವರ್‌ ರೆಸ್ಪಾನ್ಸಿಬಿಲಿಟಿʼ (Echoes- Our times, Our response) ಎಂಬ ಆಂಗ್ಲ ಕೃತಿಯನ್ನು ಬಿಡುಗಡೆ ಮಾಡಿ ಡಿಸಿಎಂ ಅವರು ಮಾತನಾಡಿದರು.
ಜ್ಯೋತಿ ನಿವಾಸ ಸ್ವಾಯತ್ತ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯಾಗಿದ್ದು, ವಿಶ್ವವಿದ್ಯಾಲಯ ಆಗುವ ಎಲ್ಲ ಅರ್ಹತೆ ಹೊಂದಿದೆ. ಈ ನಿಟ್ಟಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆ ಪ್ರಯತ್ನ ಮಾಡಿದರೆ ಸರಕಾರ ಸಹಕಾರ ನೀಡಲಿದೆ. ಜತೆಗೆ, ಯಾವುದಾದರೊಂದು ಸರಕಾರಿ ಕಾಲೇಜನ್ನು ದತ್ತು ಪಡೆಯಬೇಕು ಎಂಬುದು ನನ್ನ ಅಭಿಲಾಶೆಯಾಗಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಉಪ ಮುಖ್ಯಮಂತ್ರಿ ಹೇಳಿದರು.
ಇದಕ್ಕೆ ಕೂಡಲೇ ಸ್ಪಂದಿಸಿದ ಪ್ರಾಂಶುಪಾಲರು, ಕಾಲೇಜು ದತ್ತು ಸ್ವೀಕರಿಸಲು ಒಪ್ಪಿಗೆ ಸೂಚಿಸಿದರಲ್ಲದೆ, ಯಾವ ಕಾಲೇಜು ಎಂದು ಸೂಚಿಸಿದರೆ ಕಾರ್ಯಪ್ರವೃತ್ತರಾಗುವುದಾಗಿ ಭರವಸೆ ನೀಡಿದರು.
ಕಾಲೇಜುಗಳನ್ನು ದತ್ತು ಪಡೆಯುವ ಮೂಲಕ ಸರಕಾರಿ ಕಾಲೇಜುಗಳಿಗೆ ಮೂಲಸೌಕರ್ಯ ಒದಗಿಸುವುದು, ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಬೋಧನೆ-ಕಲಿಕೆಗೆ ನೆರವಾಗುವುದು, ತಾಂತ್ರಿಕ ಸಹಕಾರ ಕೊಡುವುದು ಹಾಗೂ ಅಧ್ಯಾಪಕರಿಗೆ ತರಬೇತಿ ನೀಡುವುದು ಇತ್ಯಾದಿಗಳನ್ನು ಖಾಸಗಿ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಗಳು ಮಾಡಬಹುದು. ಈ ನಿಟ್ಟಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಉನ್ನತ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ಇಲಾಖೆ ಈಗಾಗಲೇ ʼಹೆಲ್ಪ್‌ ಎಜ್ಯುಕೇಟ್‌ʼ ಎಂಬ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವನ್ನು ಶುರು ಮಾಡಿದೆ ಡಿಸಿಎಂ ಎಂದರು.
ಈ ಸಂದರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ ಕೃತಿಯ ಲೇಖಕರು ಆದ ಪ್ರಾಂಶುಪಾಲೆ ಡಾ.ಎಲಿಜೆಬೆತ್‌, ಕಾಲೇಜಿನ ಅಧ್ಯಾಪಕರು, ಇತರೆ ಸಿಬ್ಬಂದಿ, ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ಹಾಜರಿದ್ದರು.

Adoption of Govt. College: Jyothi Nivas College agrees to the DCMs appeal
Bengaluru, Apr.09, 2021 (www.justkannada.in): The management of the illustrious Jyothi Nivas College, Bengaluru, has agreed to Deputy Chief Minister Dr. C.N. Ashwathnarayan’s appeal to adopt a government degree college and support the government in its effort to provide quality education to the students.
Deputy Chief Minister Dr. C.N. Ashwathanarayana participated in a book release program held at the Jyothi Nivas College in Bengaluru on Thursday. He released the book titled, ‘Echoes- Our Times, Our Response), authored by the Principal of the College Dr. Elizabeth, and spoke.
In his address, he said that the Jyothi Nivas College is a reputed and autonomous institution and it has all the qualities of becoming a University. “The government is ready to support the institution in this regard. The State government also wishes it would be good if the management adopts any one Government College.” Responding to his appeal the Principal of the College immediately gave her consent and said she would recommend the management if he suggests which Govt. College should be adopted.
The DCM explained, by adopting government colleges, such reputed educational institutions can help in the way of providing basic infrastructure, extending help in teaching activities, technical support, and training to the teaching staff, etc. “The Department of High Education has already introduced a program titled, ‘Help Educate,’ in this regard,” he informed.
Author of the book Dr. Elizabeth, Principal, Jyothi Nivas College, Professors, teaching staff and students were present on the occasion.
