ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು,ನವೆಂಬರ್,13,2020(www.justkannada.in) : ಗ್ರಾಮ ಪಂಚಾಯತಿ ಚುನಾವಣೆ ನಡೆಸಲು ರಾಜ್ಯ ಉಚ್ಛ ನ್ಯಾಯಾಲಯವು ಅನುಮತಿ ನೀಡಿದ್ದು, 3 ವಾರಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ವೇಳಾಪಟ್ಟಿ ಪ್ರಕಟಿಸುವಂತೆ ರಾಜ್ಯ ಚುನಾವಣಾ ಆಯೋಗಕ್ಕೆ ನಿರ್ದೇಶನ ನೀಡಿದೆ.
ಚುನಾವಣೆ ಘೋಷಣೆ ಬಗ್ಗೆ 3 ವಾರದಲ್ಲಿ ಆಯೋಗ ತೀರ್ಮಾನಿಸಬೇಕು. ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳೊಂದಿಗೆ ಆಯೋಗ ಸಮಾಲೋಚನೆ ನಡೆಸಬಹುದು. ಇನ್ನು ಚುನಾವಣೆಗೆ ಹಣಕಾಸಿನ ಅಗತ್ಯವಿದ್ದರೆ ರಾಜ್ಯಪಾಲರನ್ನ ಸಂಪರ್ಕಿಸಬಹುದು ಎಂದು ಹೈಕೋರ್ಟ್ ವಿಭಾಗೀಯ ಪೀಠ ತೀರ್ಪು ನೀಡಿದೆ.
ಅವಧಿ ಮುಗಿದ ಗ್ರಾಮ ಪಂಚಾಯತ್ʼಗಳಿಗೆ ಚುನಾವಣೆ ನಡೆಸಲು ಸರ್ಕಾರ ಹಾಗೂ ಚುನಾವಣಾ ಆಯೋಗಕ್ಕೆ ನಿರ್ದೇಶನ ನೀಡಬೇಕು ಎಂದು ಕೋರಿ ಹೈಕೋರ್ಟ್‌ಗೆ ಅರ್ಜಿ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಲಾಗಿತ್ತು. ಅರ್ಜಿಯ ವಿಚಾರಣೆ ನಡೆಸಿದ ಹೈಕೋರ್ಟ್ ಈ ತೀರ್ಫು ನೀಡಿದ್ದು, ಅಸಾಧಾರಣ ಸಂದರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಷ್ಟೇ ಚುನಾವಣೆ ಮುಂದೂಡಬಹುದು. ಆದರೆ, ಅದನ್ನ ಆಯೋಗ ತೀರ್ಮಾನಿಸಬೇಕು. ಚುನಾವಣೆ ಮುಂದೂಡಿಕೆ ಸರ್ಕಾರ ನಿರ್ಧರಿಸುವಂತಿಲ್ಲ ಎಂದು ಸಿಜೆ ಎ.ಎಸ್.ಒಕಾ, ನ್ಯಾ.ಅಶೋಕ್ ಎಸ್. ಕಿಣಗಿರವರಿದ್ದ ಪೀಠ ಸ್ಪಷ್ಟಪಡಿಸಿದೆ ಎಂದು ತಿಳಿದು ಬಂದಿದೆ.

GP elections: HC directs to announce time schedule within 3 weeks
Bengaluru, Nov. 13, 2020 (www.justkannada.in): Following an appeal made in the High Court of Karnataka seeking permission to conduct GP elections where the term has ended, the Hon’ble Court after hearing, today permitted to conduct the Gram Panchayat elections and directed the State Election Commission to release time schedule within 3 weeks.
The High Court Division bench comprising Chief Justice A.S. Oka and Justice Ashok S. Kinagi, in its judgement has issued directions to announce the date of GP elections within 3 weeks and if there is requirement of money it can contact the Governor.
